Today as I was sitting at the Wound Center waiting on my dad, I was thinking about all that we had been going through recently, with the barrage of attacks of sickness on my father, on my uncle, and the two bad reports that I had this week as well.

I began to think about the many trips that we would have to make to visit the Wound Center, the hospital for the intravenous antibiotics, and the tests that they wanted me to have for some things. I also began to think of many of my dear friends and family, that have been going through great physical, financial, and personal difficulties. Much of what was going on seemed to feel suddenly overwhelming and not even possible to accomplish. A sort of hopelessness tried to settle over me.

Suddenly, I was sitting there and I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit begin to nudge me to open my Bible program and I said to the Lord. “Father, we sure could use a word today from you today because this is all too much for us. We are really desperate for you right now… ”

When I opened the Bible progam, the word that was there was Psalms 103. The main thing that my eyes fell on were these scriptures.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” Psalms 103:1-5 ( NKJV).

He reminded me and wanted me to remind you, who are overwhelmed with life’s circumstances, that David told his soul (his mind, will, and emotions) to remember something! He said, “soul…don’t you forget to REMEMBER HIS BENEFITS!” He was commanding his soul to remember what benefits that came for those who were lovers of God!! He was commanding His mind and will to think on these things!

You see, a benefit its something that your company gives you on top of what your wage is! These belong to you because of the company that you are with. With a job it is like this… you get a wage and if that is not enough, you get these things on top of it! Just like that, when Jesus shed His blood on Calvary and we believed and took Him as our Saviour, we not only get to go to heaven, but now also have healing, safety, prosperity etc..

So today, He said to remind you of your benefits and remind you that even though there are circumstances that you are facing that are overwhelming. His Benefits are something that are sure and steadfast even when the insurance runs out on you because you become to big of a risk, or your company fires you because they can no longer give you benefits. Your Father has already paid for these things and they are yours forever. He will not leave you or forsake you when you are overwhelmed!

He forgives all of your sins! First and foremost you need to remind yourself that He paid it all, otherwise the enemy will talk you out of the rest of the benefits! He will tell you that you messed up so badly, that you could not possibly have the second benefit and that is that he heals all of your diseases! Then He also Redeems your life from destruction! Tell yourself when all of the fear comes from the crisis with Isis that “He will deliver you from this destruction!” Be still and know that He is God! He also Crowns you!! He crowns you with lovingkindness and Mercy.

You have to believe that “He is and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him!” Tell your soul that He is a good God! Then lastly tell your soul that it needs to reverse this curse so that your youth will be renewed like the Eagles!

Yes, Bless Him for these things that He has bought and paid for you already! Remind yourself of them as you sing to Him! Because verse 20 says “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.”

You see, as we bless Him for His benefits, we not only remind ourselves of them but we give the Angels access to go forth and do what we have spoken and sang from His Word! Yes, Bless the Lord O’ my soul and forget not All of His benefits! You Bless His Holy Name!
