Remain Steady
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Remain Steady
In a land far away
Across the sea
There’s a man who stands up
For what he believes
Unwavering, no matter the consequence
His love and obedience to The LORD
Remains steady….
In a land far away
In a desert
There’s a woman who prays continually
For her countrymen to be set free
No matter the cost
No matter how long it takes
She remains steady…
In a land far away
Way off into the west
There’s a church who loves The LORD
For they meet despite the danger
Singing and praising God
Daring to spread the Good News
They remain steady…
They all put their trust in The LORD
For they know that to lose their lives
Is to live for Christ
For they know their riches
Are not laid up in this world
But waiting in heaven
So they remain steady….
Even through persecution
Even through mocking
Even through peril
They remain steady…
Blessed are they which are persecuted
For righteousness sake;
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven
In this very land
Right here
There’s a boy who rises up for freedom
For he declares enough is enough
Of tyranny and oppression
He speaks truth
And remains steady…
So against Goliath,
In boldness like no other,
He remains steady
With God on his side;
That fourth man brings him victory
Be bold, be courageous, be vigorous
For The LORD has commanded you
Stand up, overrun and overtake the enemy
Just like David at Ziglag
Oh remain steady!
In a land far away
And in this very the land right here
Remain steady
In your love for The LORD
In your obedience to Him
Remain steady
No matter what
Remain steady….
