Remain in The Vine to Succeed
God always has His Reason for wanting to use you.
He won’t always show you what He will do. He is usually silent about His plan while He is bringing it all to pass.
He shows you what you need to know, at the right time, with impeccable timing.
Scripture says that His Ways are “past finding out.” (Romans 11:33). Humbling as it is, it really should cause us to reach out to Him, cause us to call upon Him, cause us to listen for His Voice.
His Ways are higher than our ways, and His Thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). He knows that the thoughts of a man are futile (Proverbs 21:30).
There is no wisdom, no understanding, no counsel that can prevail against The LORD. I hope you can see that any attempt to prevail your own way against the plan He has for you, simply will not succeed the way His Own Plan for your life can.
Think about this concept: You must accede in order to succeed.
The word “accede” means to yield without question. In this sense, it means to give yourself over, yield yourself, to the One Who is Lord.
How can God use an unwilling vessel? His best plan for you involves willingness to walk in obedience.
If you cannot hear His Voice clearly, you must reconsider what you think is really important to The LORD’s heart — and to your heart as well.
Yes, we have our own ways of doing things in this life, and we have been used to doing things our own way.
But yielding yourself to Him will bring to pass the very things that He has been working in you. For He is working in you what will yield a far greater weight of Glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17).
For it is God Who is working in you both to will, and to do according to His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13).
Jesus said: “I AM The Vine, you are the branches. If you remain in Me, and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
We must remain in The Vine to succeed.
Amen.
