Just 2 hours ago, as I went to bed really late, I prayed for God to release His lightnings.

I had been thinking about them yesterday, and was also reading in the Word about lightnings. It is now officially Pentecost and His power is being released.

I was awakened about 3:10 a.m. as my pup wanted out. She was stirring restlessly and I brought her to the back door and saw the rain starting to pour.

Then the thunder and lightning started. It’s like we were in the eye of the storm, and I remembered my prayer.

God is in the lightning. He is releasing His awesome mighty power into the earth, so much that the earth and its atmosphere can’t handle it.

It must respond. He speaks in the thunder and whispers in the wind.

I have had many lightning dreams where God was showing me something. In one powerful dream I was on the water and was viewing land. A cloud appeared over the edge of the land and it was full of lightning.

As I looked at it, the cloud tipped up on the closest side to me and I saw it was actually the hand of God, waving at me.

I smiled as He was showing me He was in it and when these times come, to rest assured He has it in His Hands.

In another dream, I was once again viewing land and water. It was like I was at a river and there were trees along the bank and beyond.

Lightning flashed sideways across the trees, back and forth and came lower to flash across the water. It was dancing powerfully back and forth and I knew it was a sign of a time to come where His Power will be released into the earth.

I painted a picture and within a few minutes it was done. It was a message.

Yet another time in a vision I saw a horizon of a city in the dark. A transformer tower stood as a silhouette against the sky.

In a split second a bolt of lightning struck the tower and it flashed with a surge of power, which caused the cityscape to flash and flicker, like a city on fire.

A year and a half ago I spent 4 months dreaming and experiencing the lightnings and fire of God. He is an all consuming fire and He is releasing the Fire on His People.

Those who humble themselves and pray and are willing to be totally consumed and refined by Him, will experience this fire.

It is not a pleasant process. The flesh dies and only ashes remain. Shaking and cleansing take place.

But it is necessary for those who want to carry His Glory. His Glory needs pure vessels. Like the lightnings and thunder, His fire must invade us to burn away the dirt and grime of our life so He can make vessels of pure gold.

It is a time of His shaking the earth in order for it to contain His powerful Presence.

“And lightnings and voices and thunders were going out from the Throne and in front of the Throne the seven lamps of fire were burning which are the seven Spirits of God…,” Revelation 4:5.
