Redemption is Too Expensive
Apology alone is and was not the price for Redemption.
Redemption in simple terms; is like a “restoration to factory settings”.
It is a complete remake, or rebuild of that which is being restored; to its original design and intent.
For instance; a glass of milk meant to be served to your guest, falls off your hand, the glass cup shatters and the milk spills on the carpet leaves you with the scenario of a broken cup, spilled milk, stained carpets, time wasted for both the one intending to give and the one waiting to receive.
In the midst of these; a heartfelt apology would indeed indicate a sincere regret; but it doesn’t by itself redeem the loss.
Think about this,
it took God one day to create the first man Adam,
yet it took almost four thousand years to redeem that man and achieve the feat of having a new man “Christ” restored back to factory settings — being in the image of God.
To redeem the process of redeeming man immediately after his fall; God Himself gave the first Prophetic Word:
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15.
In order to raise up the “seed” through which the head of the serpent would be bruised; God had to raise a man in Abraham, raise a nation in Israel, that would birth the promised King.
This King, The Lord Jesus Christ; who would go on to become the atoning lamb, whose blood was worth the price of sin; to obtain grace for the redemption of man.
Do you now see why it’ll take a much shorter time to prepare and serve that glass of milk; than to redeem it when it’s spilled?
When John the Baptist began preaching repentance; he spoke to them saying,
“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance,” Matthew 3:8.
The People went on to ask him; “What shall we do?”
“And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then? He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do? And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you. And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.” Luke 3:10-14.
The same applies when there is a breach in instructions of The Spirit Of God that brings about losses in the spirit — the price of Redemption is usually great.
It may take less than a minute to cut off your thumb — now consider how much it would take to “redeem” that thumb to “factory settings”.
The Scripture warning us about falling short of the Grace or God in Hebrews warns about Esau; how that by reason of a transaction done in an instant; he lost his birthright
“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears”. Hebrews 12:15-17.
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.” Hebrews 6:4-8.

A sobering thought for us who take God’s grace lightly and squander it because at the back of our minds we have a distorted view of redemption. Lord have mercy upon us!
wow. Sobering.
