You whip the lamb, spit on him, quench his thirst with vinegar, strip him of His robe and cast lots for it — yet He resist not, nor fights back.

For His silence in pain, you laugh smirking in humiliation, wondering where the acclaimed “Anointed One” is.

These, not enough you put Him to death…

Oh, but for the promise in Psalm 16,

“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore”. Psalm 16:10-11.
