Recover All Like David
We have lost so much. So much. Family, money/ possessions, health, Godly relationships, ministry, towns and cities. The list is long.
But by The Blood of Jesus Christ, through The Cross of Christ, we must recover all, like David. We must recover all, “so that nothing is lost” (John 6:12). For “it is the times of the restoration of all things” (Acts 3:21).
David also lost it all: family, possessions, health (strength), Godly relationships, kingship/rulership, towns, cities, his country, and his city of refuge. But with The LORD’s help, direction and strategy, he recovered all that he lost. Yes, “David recovered all,” (1 Samuel 30:19).
David had already been through so much, escaping Saul’s psychotic persecution. He was displaced and distraught.
Now, his city of refuge, Ziklag was attacked by another enemy and burned down. His family and possessions as well as those of his supporters were looted and taken away.
“Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. And David’s two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive. Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in The LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:1-6.
Some Bible versions say, “But David encouraged himself in The LORD his God.” I LOVE that!
When in trouble, don’t throw a ‘pity party’ for yourself; rather, throw yourself on The LORD!
“Seek The LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore!” 1 Chronicles 16:11.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:6-7.
This was exactly what Brother David did.
“So David inquired of The LORD , saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8.
Oh, how we must inquire of The LORD, get His help, direction and strategy in all things! Then pursue, surely overtake the enemy, and without fail recover all.
“So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all,” 1 Samuel 30:18-19.
We must pray, sing to The LORD, ask for and have restoration.
As led by The Holy Spirit, a way to pray could be:
‘LORD, I thank You in this situation, for Your Word says, “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for [us].” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
I boldly come before The Throne of Grace that I obtain mercy and find grace to help in this time of need. LORD, have mercy on me.
Forgive me of my sins, the sins of my parents, my ancestors (my father’s line and my mother’s lines – all the way to the first Adam). Let The Blood of Jesus make atonement for my soul.
Oh Righteous Father! By The Blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, redeem and cleanse me and my bloodline from… (___mention the problem___).
Restore me and all that is mine by The Blood of Jesus.
Now, like David, by The Blood of Jesus, with The Cross of Christ, I come against you the devil: you the thief who come to steal, to kill, and to destroy.
The Son of God Jesus Christ has come that I have life, and that I have it more abundantly, (John 10:10).
By the authority The LORD Jesus Christ has given me in His Word, I trample on you serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of you the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt me, (Luke 10:19; 9:1).
And, with The Cross of Christ, with The Blood of Jesus Christ, I declare: Satan, I shall pursue you, surely overtake you, and without fail recover all from you. By The Blood of Jesus Christ, I set free and loose out of your captivity, my… (___marriage, children, health, possessions, moneys, ministry, etc.___).’
Thank You LORD Jesus, for Your PRECIOUS Blood, Your power and victory unto me.
It is a commandment: “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving”, (Colossians 4:2).
Pray and sing to God (Acts 16:26), make supplications, decrees and declarations.
Execute the written judgement (Psalm 149:6-9).
Pursue, surely overtake the enemy, and without fail recover all.
Yes, do it like David. Hallelu-YAH! {:-)))
“The LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.” 2 Timothy 4:22.
“Farewell” Acts 15:29.
~ Jacob Awagah
Jacob, an apostle of Jesus Christ by The Will of God, according to The Promise of Life which is in Christ Jesus, (2 Timothy 1:1). As John was, Jacob is the disciple whom JESUS loves, (John 13:23;19:26; 20:2; 21:7,20). And like Paul, Jacob is “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
“And having been perfected, He became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.
This encourages me! TY Jesus.
