Ravenhill and Revival
I posted this as today’s post, even though it’s also a memory.
I posted it, because I believe we’re coming to the end of lukewarmness, the end of shallow , half-hearted prayers, and coming into a season of true awakening and revival.
“The only reason we don’t have revival is because we are willing to live without it!”
Leonard Ravenhill was right when he said this!
What an indictment of today’s Church and today’s Christian community!
How we must have grieved The LORD in this. We gather together in our twos and threes, in our forties and fifties, even in our thousands, and we pray for revival.
Yet, because of the cost, the disruption, and the perceived inconvenience, we so frequently don’t really mean it. We pray false prayers that sound good but mean little.
Do we think God doesn’t notice this? He looks first at our hearts — do we honestly think He is deceived for one moment by our shallow, half-hearted agreement with a false prayer?
LORD forgive us! Create in us once again a clean heart and take not Your precious Spirit from us!
Build in us a nucleus of those who are willing to pay the price, who are willing to yield everything to His will, who genuinely want revival, and use use. Use our prayers and use our gifts for your Kingdom’s Glory.
Hear The LORD today, “I have never withheld My Spirit from those who truly want Him, but I rarely give Him in full measure to those with Luke-warm hearts.
I AM available. Are you willing? Do you mean it when you call for revival?
Are your hearts in it all the way, or only thus far but no further?
Call to Me today and I will answer you — after I see your hearts! Revival is not beyond those who reach!”
As I said, revival is no longer beyond our reach! More like, it’s almost within our grasp, and God is more willing to send it than ever before! Hallelujah.

Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
