As promised earlier… Last night, as I was preparing to go to sleep, The LORD came to me with these Words from Elijah, “I hear an abundance of Rain!”

Except that He said, ‘I smell an …..’, rather than, ‘I see ….’.

He then gave me the scent of Rain, the sound of Wind, and a picture of a Cloud.

As I watched and listened, the whole scene seemed to express itself like this — “I smell an abundance of Rain. I hear the Wind of Change. I see the Cloud of His presence. All coming together in a moment of Deliverance.”

I asked The LORD about it. What am I seeing? What am I hearing? I knew what I was smelling but the other sensations?

I Smell an Abundance of Rain

This is the Rain of Refreshing, of Revival. It sweeps in, driven in squalls, soaking the dry and parched earth.

There is a distinctive sound to Rain — and I heard that distinct sound of pitter-patter — as it swept over the ground, creating puddles and rivulets of running water where it could not immediately sink into the earth.

The ground was being awakened, and I could see new life starting afresh even as the Rain fell. I saw people just walking out and standing in the Rain, joyfully dancing, arms open wide in worship and honour of our wonderful Jehovah Jireh — God our provider — in this instance, God our Provider of Refreshing, Renewal, and Revival!

I Hear the Wind of Change

I could hear the Wind — or Ruach — of The Holy Spirit as He blew not only the Rains, but also the changes that come when good seed, in good ground, is watered properly.

I saw dry dusty dirt change into good, well watered earth, feeding and growing the harvest to come.

I saw miniatures of bad growing situations turned into perfect growing situations.

I saw an earth where death and destruction was turned into life and abundance.

I See the Cloud of His Presence

The Cloud I saw was a huge, almost storm Cloud, full of the apparent ‘anger’ of thunder and lightning, but actually bringing the presence of a Holy God into the land.

With His presence came a reverential hush, a silence in the presence of the Almighty, that brought peace, healing, and power into the revival started by the Rainfall.

I was reminded of the incredible feeling of being in the presence of God. The peace, the power, the reverential stillness, the expectancy, and the all-embracing blanket of Love.

Yes — that was the overall, the almost overpowering and overwhelming emotion — the Love of God flowing in and around His Presence.

All coming together in a moment of Deliverance

As I sat in the middle of all this, The LORD spoke. “This is the Deliverance you have been waiting for, for so long.

The Rain is the fulfillment of 2 Chronicles 7:14, the healing of the land. The Wind is the Wind from Acts 2:1-4, a fresh baptism of My Holy Spirit to equip you for that which is yet to come.

The Cloud is My covenantal promise, like the Rainbow, that My Holy Spirit, My Hand, and My Power will always be with you until the end.

Fear not that which lies ahead, only fear for those who refuse My offer of Salvation, for they may turn to Me too late.”

I pondered upon ‘that which is yet to come’, and The LORD again answered me, this time quoting The Book of Joshua.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for The LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

The sun then shone. It was as though the Clouds all parted, the Rain ceased, the Wind stilled, and the Clouds drifted off wherever they went.

It’s such a privilege to just sit with The LORD for a few moments and just listen. He has so much to say and I’m so grateful He uses me from time to time.

Be encouraged

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all [a]with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them [b]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4
