Putting On The Cloak Of Righteousness
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Putting On The Cloak Of Righteousness
Here I am putting on the Cloak of Righteousness
Walking on the road least traveled
Narrow, but assuredly
Keeping on after my LORD
My walk with Him Holy
I’m keeping steady my steps
According to His Promise,
And letting no iniquity get dominion over me.
Even though I don’t understand His Ways
I know my steps are from the LORD
Oh I’m wearing the Cloak of Righteousness
I’m living for Him
Keeping on after my LORD
My walk with Him Holy
He who bore my sins in His Body on the Cross
So I could be free
Oh I’m living for Him, living for Righteousness
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
Out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock,
Making my steps secure.
My steps have held fast to His Paths;
My feet have not slipped.
Oh it’s not my own righteousness that comes from the law, no, no
It’s a righteousness that comes through faith in Christ
The Righteousness from God that depends on faith—
Oh I’m wearing the Cloak of Righteousness
I’m living for Him
Keeping on after my LORD
My walk with Him Holy
He who bore my sins in His Body on the Cross
So I can be free
Oh I’m living for Him, living for Righteousness
Oh I’m wearing the Cloak of Righteousness
I’m living for Him
I’m living for Righteousness!
Oh I’m wearing the Cloak of Righteousness
I’m living for Him
Keeping on after my LORD
My walk with Him Holy
He who bore my sins in His Body on the Cross
So I could be free
Oh I’m living for Him, living for Righteousness….
