Prophetic Word for 2016
Your year of forceful advancement
I pray that this message from God finds you in position and ready to advance, ready to receive and focused on the plans of God for your life ahead of you. There are always several places in scripture where God speaks from and there is always a passage that prophetically governs the year we are in.
“He that has an ear let him hear what the spirit of The Lord has to say to the church, I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one,” Ezekiel 22:30.
Tell My people that there are positions in the Kingdom open for someone that isn’t worried about financial gain, titles or pleasing man. I AM looking for intercessors, and those that will cry out for my people that can’t cry out for themselves and even those so deceived that they don’t even know they need my help. Many are too ambitious, wanting to advance their own kingdoms but not even thinking of advancing the Kingdom of God.
As I got quiet to hear the voice of God, I noticed He was in the “face” of “the church” with some questions that He demanded answers to. God is looking for those that have a heart for His people and the compassion to pray for them, so they won’t be lost in the judgement that is coming to the land.
God is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance . But we as a people on this earth God has given us, have made some decisions that now have repercussions that is releasing judgement from God to fall on many of us. He is calling His prayer warriors and intercessors back to His feet and back to “praying his heart.”
We, as people of God, have lost our passion for God and our focus in God and we allowed the enemy in previous years to have too much dominion, when God was readily releasing power to overcome.
I hear Him saying stop saying, this is “My” year, every year, and take this year by force! The greatest war you will fight is the battle in your mind and the war that is within your members (your body) that has kept you from progressing and moving forward. He is “in our face” this year because if we don’t hear his voice and finally “fully” obey him we will not reap the benefits of the life he has planned for us no matter who lays hands on us.
Matthew 11:12 says: and from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. We always recite this scripture but do we really understand what God is saying to us? It is saying from the days of John the Baptist till now, the Kingdom of heaven has had to use violence in order to advance forward in the earth.
The fight has always been there against those who are in the body of Christ. Understand that the warfare will always be there, but it’s up to you to “sit” there or “stand up.” A
few days ago I heard the word’s “forceful advancement;” what God has called for you to do in the Kingdom. You will have to “take” by force!! It’s not going to drop in your lap or be handed to you. The enemy doesn’t want you to advance, but it doesn’t matter what he wants, this year the power of God is going to rest on you to dominate and overcome the oppositions that have been designed to hinder and block your progress and you must take it no matter what you hear and see!
In the book of Ezekiel 37:1-14 we see Ezekiel the prophet in a conversation with God. God has picked him up in the spirit, shown him a valley full of dry bones and then he asks the prophet a question… “son of man can these bones live?” Ezekiel humbly replies, “God, you know.” God never asks a question for information. He’s God and omniscient. What can we tell the God that created us?
He knows our thoughts before we even speak. God asks us questions so we will look “within” ourselves for the proper response best for the question He is asking. In other words, God is asking us the question for a reason. After receiving the humble response from Ezekiel, God tells the prophet to prophesy to the dry, dead human bones he was seeing in the spirit. When he obeyed the commandment of The Lord to prophesy over what was dead a “shaking” took place and the bones began to connect to each other flesh and skin appeared and covered the bones, right before the prophet’s eyes God began to restore His army.
The more he listened to the voice of God and spoke what he “heard” God say, the more God used him to restore. As I listened for what God would speak out of this familiar passage of scripture he said 2 things.
The first thing He said was He was looking for commanders! God is looking for commanders who will hear His voice, obey His voice, listen to what He is saying, then speak like He has spoken to their spirit, so restoration can come.
God wants to use us to speak like he speaks and command what is dead around us to come to life and be restored! God is not going to leave us like we are. He has a plan to restore the broken places of our life and shift us to a place that he has made ready just for “His” people. Romans 8:18 says: “for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” What we are going through right now may be difficult, but it’s temporary.
God is not going to leave us comfortless. Restoration is coming to your house. Restoration is coming to your ministry. It’s coming to your relationships. Get up and speak what you hear God speaking in his word! Create an atmosphere of growth that will shift your life!
Stop waiting for it to come to you and you get up and speak to it! When you begin to speak over what looks dead in your life you will see that his word in Haggai 2:9. “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith The Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith The Lord of hosts.” God’s presence will manifest in your life and change your situation.
The second thing God said about this powerful passage was that there was an army that has been laying dormant until a set time when God will blow his breath to raise them up. They have been waiting for release and positioning in their rightful place that God has chosen for them.
In Ezekiel 37:11 we hear God speak of this army. Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of israel. Behold, they say, ‘our bones are dried up and our hope is lost. We are completely cut off.’
This is the place where many of God’s people are at. Their bones are dry and they are giving up. They are losing hope and need God to blow the breath of life and restore them. I hear The Lord say, “I AM blowing my breath on you for my glory. Get up from your graves, you’ve been dormant too long. I will cause you to live again!”
God is raising “his” army up for the end time. Many people thought you were dead and no longer useful but you will surprise many saith The Lord. Even those that walked away from you thinking you would never be restored, those that left you for dead will see My glory on your life.
Many gave up on you and some of you thought that I had given up on you too but you stayed in the background as I processed you and prepared you for such a time as this. I will place My spirit in you and you will come back to life and I will place you in the land that I have prepared just for you.
People of God, never doubt the plan of God and never doubt the will of God for your life. What God has spoken over your life, what he has prophesied over your destiny is going to come to pass! No matter who gives up on you or feels the need to walk away from you make sure that “you” never give up on you because God will never give up on a “Kingdom masterpiece!”
Before I release the passage that speaks over the year 2016, I wanted to address the area of servant-hood. Many of us serve in capacities of leadership, ushering, singing, playing of instruments, administration and many other areas in the church and in the secular world as well. Luke 10:38-42 is where we find what God wants to address,
“Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, ‘Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.'”
In this passage, we see 2 sisters, one named Mary sitting at Jesus’ feet and the other named Martha, around the house working. As God was speaking to me He said Martha wasn’t a bad person. She invited him in their house and was making preparations for Jesus who was a guest in her home. More than likely, Jesus had the disciples with him, so i’m sure the preparations were a little overwhelming.
Mary was sitting at Jesus’ feet listening to him as He ministered the word enjoying the word that Jesus was speaking and with all of the work that needed to be done 2 people serving would be better than one. Martha feeling overwhelmed by her service approaches Jesus questioning him about not caring if she was working alone. I’m sure Martha was a little annoyed coming into the sitting room and Mary is still sitting mesmerized by the words coming out of the mouth of Jesus.
When she questions Jesus, He now has to address the real problem and that was that she was worried and stressed about a lot of things he never talks about what she is doing for Him because when we become overwhelmed it’s usually more things stressing us than just our service for God.
Jesus said one thing is needful and Mary had already chosen that and He wasn’t going to make her leave what was needful to take care of what was she thought was necessary.
God is asking His people another question:
in 2016 will you be like Mary or will you be like Martha?
God said many of us are serving without sitting. We are rushing out to serve, without first coming to sit at the feet of Jesus as he ministers the word. God said if you sit at his feet you will have what you need to do his service.
Many of us think ministry and God is the same. It’s not. Ministry is your service to God but you must have a proper and functioning relationship with God outside of your service to him.
Many of us are doing ministry and we are not doing God and we wonder why we are getting “burnt out” and stressed when we are supposed to do our service for God in love and expressing the image of Christ. Make sure you take time to be like Mary and get in the presence of God so that you will be fully equipped to do your service to God.
Make sure you are exercising patience walking in the fruit of the spirit demonstrating God’s love in action!
God also said we need to be more concerned about the lost, the poor and the needy. Our ministries are not doing enough outreach and evangelism. We need to love what God loves and hate what he hates.
God loves his babies and He sacrificed his son to reconcile His people back to Him. Some of His people are still lost and we must find them, some of his people are poor and need a hand “up” not just a hand “out.” Some of His people are needy and he wants us to extend His hand of love, comfort and protection.
God asked another question. He said, “Ask My people have they ever seen the other side of hunger?”
Most times we as God’s people are feeding the hungry and assisting them but our heart is not really in what we are doing. God said if we knew the other side of hunger we would have more compassion on the needy and the broken. If you have never been homeless, never had to miss several meals, never had to give up your food or your bed for your children you will never really understand the other side of hunger, homelessness or suffering.
People in other countries, other states and other cities experience “need” on a daily basis and as God’s people we that are strong must stand in and bear the infirmities of the weak. When people ask for help make sure you walk in agape love and if you stay in the presence of God he will show you who is trying to abuse your kindness but even if they are they still have a soul that can be won to the Kingdom of God.
Our hearts must remain pure and our hands must stay clean. Don’t let judgement fall on your ministry or your house because of how you have mistreated one of God’s little ones. Outreach and evangelism must be a priority in our churches and if you don’t know what to do call in someone that specializes in that area so that part of your ministry doesn’t go lacking.
The word of God clearly speaks of the benefits of helping the poor and the needy. In Psalm 41, God has many promises and benefits that will show you his heart towards His people. Proverbs 19:17 says: whoever is kind to the poor lends to The Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done. There is a blessing in helping the poor and the needy. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40 “The king will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'”
In Proverbs 14:31 it says: “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God. God is speaking to his people and He that has an ear let them hear what the spirit of The Lord has to say to the church.”
I pray that we will have an ear to hear what God is saying about servant-hood in the house of God and the church beyond the walls……
As I conclude with the prophetic passage that speaks to the year 2016, I have a sense of excitement and determination inside of me. We always have high hopes of the year to come but once the enemy begins to attack us in different areas we lose the hope we had as the year came in.
2016 Introduction
God is speaking clearly to us but we are not listening, so as I listen to God year after year. Some of the things He is saying is repetitive.
God moved differently this time. Usually He will individually deal with every five fold gift. This year He is saying that He has already spoken and as five fold ministry leaders, we must put into practice what God has already spoken to us.
It’s time for us to walk out what we have already heard and lead people in the proper manner. We know when we are doing wrong. No one should have to tell you or call you out. You know when you’re doing because the Holy Ghost will convict you.
As leaders, we should be examples but many of us have taken the word and misinterpreted scriptures or even got them removed out of the Bible so we won’t have to follow what we know is truth.
In Luke 12:47 the word clearly states that, the servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. God is going to deal with you in whatever way He decides it’s only my job or the job of God’s people to pray for you when you knowingly get into error.
If you are a leader and you have knowingly gone astray humble yourself and seek help. Don’t continue to lead God’s sheep in the wrong direction, and let them be eventually scattered and lost. Study to show thyself approved.
A leader should know their manual not go by what they hear. If seminary or the Bible College is the direction God is taking you, then by all means go, but it is not a requirement to preach the Word of God, but at the end of the day know the bible you preach from, and honor the pulpit and the position that God has placed you in as a five fold leader.
Whatever capacity God uses you in deacon, minister, elder etc. The word of God clearly speaks to all of us let us humbly honor His word.
Prophetic passage of scripture for 2016:
2 Chronicles 19:1-2 and 2 Chronicles 20:1-25.
As I stated earlier in this message, God is “in our face” this year! We have made excuses for our bad behavior, our dis-order and even our sin.
God is making us look in the mirror to show us what our real problem has been. As we come this passage of scripture we have 4 key characters:
- Jehu the prophet sent by God,
- King Jehosaphat the king of Judah,
- King Ahab the most wicked king of Israel and
- Jezebel the wife of King Ahab, a wicked queen using all of her rights as royalty and then some.
We enter into the story with the prophet Jehu coming as King Jehoshaphat is returning home at a time of peace: then Jehoshaphat the King of Judah returned safely to his house in Jerusalem, and Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate The Lord? Therefore the wrath of The Lord is upon you. Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”
King Jehoshaphat was a godly king but he was in an ungodly alliance and God was letting him know His judgement was about to fall because of this connection. King Jehoshaphat had a sincere love for King Ahab and it was causing the wrath of God to fall on his life.
In these days, when the wrath of God had come, there will be warfare. So again, because of who he had comradery with, he was about to go into warfare at a time when he should have been experiencing peace.
As prophets we cannot be afraid to speak what God tells us no matter what is said in response to what we have spoken as a message from God. We are like the person that delivers the mail. We need to deliver it and keep going.
As prophets of God, we cannot get so attached to our assignment that we cannot deliver the message from God nor can we run and hold a message from God like Jonah when the person who is to receive the message is someone we don’t like or somebody that we don’t to get deliverance because the person has done something to us or someone we know.
As a prophet, we have to make sure “self” and “flesh”is not in the middle of our assignment and the delivery of it. Walk in obedience and remember you are a servant of God and he knows what is required and necessary for his people.
Prophet Jehu tells king Jehoshaphat the message and it’s not sugar coated at all. We have to stop trying to make what God has spoken sound sweet so we don’t get persecuted. God told Jehoshaphat he was in an ungodly alliance with Ahab and that is was the reason His wrath was about to fall. But He also said some good was found in him because he was bringing down the idols in Judah and was seeking God’s face.
God has spoken to us in previous seasons to release people and we knew God was speaking but because of our love for the person we refused to let them go. Not only that, King Ahab and Jezebel were very wicked, so King Jehoshaphat must have knew some of the wicked things being done by those leaders, but refused to address the sin.
There are people we are in friendship and fellowship that we have become comfortable around and God is not pleased with them. God is letting you know today His judgement is about to fall for your disobedience.
How can you act like you don’t see the wickedness in your ministries?
How long will you cover the sin?
How long do you think God will listen to his children cry because of the wickedness going on in ministries and not do something about it?
Judgement is falling in many places in the church, nationally, and internationally but God is speaking to who should be an example “His church.” In Revelation 2 and 3, God is “in our face” again. Where does your church fall in the balances?
We can act like God doesn’t see, people don’t care and we can act like God’s judgement won’t fall but it will and we will see it come. God is not playing with us… he has never been playing… wake up and see the times that we are in. He that has an ear let him hear what the spirit of The Lord has to say to the church……
In 2 Chronicles 20, we see that what the prophet has spoken has now come to pass. Judgement has fallen and the wrong connection has brought unnecessary warfare for not just King Jehoshaphat, but Judah as well.
Understand, that when unnecessary warfare comes because of your disobedience, other people will experience some of the warfare with you.
Now King Jehoshaphat is under attack from so many different directions and he is in distress. He calls Judah on a corporate fast and corporate prayer. The different countries coming against Judah were people they had previously helped. The very people that you help will turn around and curse you, talk about you and even attack you.
Keep your heart guarded this year, and expect the attacks from anyone and everyone.
Leave these people in the hands of God, because God is going to direct you with what has come to attack you when you get to a place of prayer, fasting and repentance. As soon as the prayer is over prophetic instructions on how to win the battle comes from the prophet Jahaziel.
The first thing the prophet says to God’s people is “hearken.” To hearken means to “listen.” in order to get victory in different areas of your life this year you must “ears” to hear what the spirit of God is saying to us.
The prophet continues saying, don’t be afraid or dismayed by the great multitude you see coming to attack you, because the battle is not yours to fight the battle belongs to The Lord. The prophet tells them exactly where to locate the multitude rising up against them, but he tells them that they are not the ones doing the fighting, but God will handle this battle for them. All they had to do was get in position and show up for the battle.
Once they were in position, God told them through the prophet to stand still and see His salvation and what He was about to do in their lives.
Don’t get discouraged this year. Go out and face what has come up against you. No more hiding and no more running. You can face tomorrow because God is fighting for you. God will be with you.
After the word was released, King Jehoshaphat bowed to The Lord in worship and the people bowed as well following the king’s lead. People are following and watching you, whether you know they do or not. As a leader, make sure you are living the life of God before them and be a living epistle to be read by those that watch from afar.
Humility, praise and worship, are a prerequisite before going into battle in 2016. Your armor has to be on at all times, even if The Lord is fighting for you.
The Bible says to put on the garment of praise. Praise is a garment or clothing to wear to avoid discouragement, depression, unbelief and worry. God inhabits the praises of His people, and that simply means He lives in praise! Praise and worship will surely usher you right into your victory!
When you are in high praise you are not distracted or worried you know God is about to defeat your enemy. You are focused on God and what God is about to do!
In verse 20, the word of God says they rose early in the morning and went forth. We must arise early in the morning to make sure we catch the enemy when he is not paying attention.
Perfect Vision
As they went forth, King Jehoshaphat makes a profound statement that we must remember for the entire year of 2016 and of course the rest of our lives. It’s the way to have perfect vision when things are looking dark and foggy.
Perfect vision is 20/20 vision and in 2 Chronicles 20:20 we see how to have good vision in the ways of God. King Jehoshaphat stands up before the people and says, hear me Oh Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in The Lord your God and so shall you be established, believe in “God’s” prophets and so shall you prosper.
God is continually challenging us to listen. If you keep your ears open to the voice of God your victory is sure. The way to get stability and a strong foundation in your life you have to believe in God in order to prosper in the ways of God you must believe in the prophets sent by God.
God is giving us clear direction through his word to assure we walk in Total Victory in 2016.
After Jehoshaphat spoke to the people he appointed singers to sing specific words to The Lord.
Pastors and leaders, in order to have a conducive atmosphere in your ministry for God to move in your ministry, you’re going to have to appoint people to sing and play instruments that carry the presence of God, or you will experience the same dull and boring services where the presence of God is not welcome.
Praise and worship goes before the word so we must have the “sound” of God in the services. King Jehoshaphat brought singers to praise the beauty of his holiness and as they began to sing they were positioned before the army singing praise The Lord for His mercy endureth forever.
You have to know what God wants to hear in your services. There are certain songs that bring the anointing of God to destroy yokes of bondage and then there are songs that are sung that got us over in previous times that we have already overcome and now the new season demands for another type of music ushering in the glory of The Lord.
The right people, on the instruments, and singing, will shift the atmosphere and bring deliverance to God’s people. We need to please God and shifting things around shouldn’t be taken personally by any singer, worshiper or musician.
As the appointed singers went forth before the army, The Lord of hosts began to set up ambushes against the multitude that had come against God’s people. The more they sang, the more God destroyed the enemy’s in the lives of the children of Israel.
Your praise has power. Your praise has purpose and your praise will move God to destroy what is trying to destroy you. Even when they were under pressure because of the multitude, their praise led them to “total victory.”
All the children of Israel had to do was praise and God did the rest. God set up ambushes against their enemies and their enemies started destroying themselves. You don’t ever have to worry about the enemies that come against you. Your praise will move God and God will move them. Your praise will confuse the enemy!
When they came to the place that the prophet Jahaziel told them about they saw their enemies all over the ground and none of their enemies escaped because God didn’t allow any of their enemies to be able to come back at a later time to try to defeat them.
When God steps in the middle of your praise to fight your battle you won’t have to worry about any residue or any thing lingering trying to bring trouble or drama. When God does steps in miracles happen! 2 chronicles 20:25 says: when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away their spoil, they found among them an abundance of valuables on the dead bodies, and precious jewelry, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away; and they were three days gathering the spoil because there was so much.
Your miracle is at the end of your praise! God wants to bless His people, but they must be in a place to hear what God is saying and a place of obedience to what you are hearing.
Your praise will move the hand of God to fight for you. Your breakthrough is waiting on your worship. What you have inside of you, is enough to win the battle!
“Forceful Advancement” is the order of the year 2016
God is not saying you won’t have challenges or face any problems, but when you begin to praise Him, He will show up on your behalf.
God is telling us the way to handle the things that the enemy will send our way or the problems that may even cause for ourselves. Invite God into your situation with your praise and worship. Trust Him to bring you out of every situation.
“The Kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violence take it by force! You will go forward, you will go higher! Victory is certain but you must take it by force.
Books don’t write themselves, CDs and movies don’t play or record on their own. There are many plans that I have for My people, but it will not drop in your lap. My power and My glory will rest on your lives to do great exploits, miracles and signs and wonders just go in my might!
Stay focused and encouraged. There are many more attacks, shootings, floods, fires, earthquakes, tsunamis and other disasters that will come as judgement goes across the world. Quit ye like men be strong.
Your faith will be tried and persecution will increase in America. Darkness is weighing heavy in the earth and the pressure to sin will increase as deception and delusion crosses the earth.
Hold to your faith because you will need to defend it more now than ever.
Know that your victory is sure when you place your life and every situation in my hands. Be comforted as I send peace in the midst of your storms that will come in your life. I remain faithful and true to my people.
Don’t be moved by what you see as you slowly lose freedom you once took for granted. They are taking away your right to defend your homes. Trust in me as the enemy has already put assignments and plans in motion. Keep your families close and strengthen what remains.
Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to his heart and we will fellowship and talk. My hand is not too short that I cannot save neither is my ear heavy that I cannot hear.
Trust Me with your deepest pain. I AM the healer of the broken heart. You will see times, people and places shift but don’t lose hope for I when I left you before I told you I would return…
Keep your hands busy doing My work and continue to build my house….
I AM The Lord of hosts but I AM also your comforter,” saith The LORD.
Staying in his face,
~ Apostle Dr. Leina’ala Mars
I thank God for giving such message and with His help I will do as He says this year. Praise be to God
