Prophesy Against The Prophets
Once more, all of us, need to establish within our hearts, that it is not about you, it’s not about me, it’s about Him. If it’s not about Him, then it’s only about us.
I think many of us already know, what we are on our own. A life run by self, can only incite sorrow and ruin. If anyone thinks they can make it without God, let them be. I’ve never been more aware that I can’t, and I have no desire to even try. This “New Age” thinking and self-promotion technique, cannot stand up under the real heat.
“And the spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, speak, thus saith the LORD,” Ezekiel 11:5.
It might be good for us to note, that so many people of the Old Testament, had much deeper and more dynamic interaction in the Spirit, than we have.
It would make no sense for them to be more spiritual or powerful than we today. What it certainly does mean, is that we have settled for much, much less than we were intended to have. Perhaps, we have sabotaged our own depth in the Spirit, by allowing others to dominate what our walk could be?
Ezekiel was told to prophesy against many things. The word of the LORD came to him, and he did as he was asked to do. He was carried by the LORD to places we could only hope to go.
We think that this rash of prophets we see today, is a new thing; it’s not. To the point, hear this: Prophesy against the prophets, “them that prophesy out of their own hearts.” Woe unto the foolish prophets, that “follow their own spirits.” Saying, “the LORD sayeth: and the LORD hath not sent them. Both real and fake, that are gone astray,” (Ezekiel 13:2,6).
This Prophet, was also told to prophesy against the Shepherds. I asked an elder once, why this was not preached or taught to us in the years past. His answer was sincere; he said, “I don’t know.” If the prophets of the Old Testament, were told to prophesy against whomever God told them to, then why would He not do so today?
Whether we choose to accept it or not, these proclamations, were made to God’s people; and still should be. It was God, who told this man and others to speak to His people. Are we yet His people today?
Things were foretold that were coming against them. And what was the answer from those in authority? “It is not near; let us build houses: This city is the caldron, and we be the flesh,” Ezekiel 11:3. It was here, that God spoke through his vessel and said this to the people: “For I know the things that come unto your mind; every one of them,” Ezekiel 11:5. Again, the LORD spoke to Ezekiel and said, “Behold, they of the house of Israel say, “The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are afar off,” Ezekiel 12:27. We want to claim inheritence rights of God’s people, but only the good part.
The Holy Spirit of God, is going to deal with all those who claim to be something they are not.
The scriptures say that God will take His people away from them who only use them for their own gain. I AM nothing special, and I claim no position of authority. But I feel just now, that the Spirit is waiting for the truly called and anointed vessels, to stand up and speak as oracles of God.
For it is the good, that will overshadow the bad; the Light will overcome all of the darkness. Without the real fruit of the Spirit, it is only our word.
