Proper Perspective
“O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still (cease, cause to fail) the enemy and the avenger,” Psalm 8:1-2.
Yesterday the Lord woke me up, and I leaned over and looked at the clock. It said 3:36. I said to myself, “OK Lord i’ll get up!” and I rolled over and ended up going back to sleep. After I went back to sleep, I saw Isaiah 336 flashing. This must important I thought, and I want to tell you what I have learned because it will be a blessing:
“And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure,” Isaiah 33:6 (KJV).
I tell you its all in the perspective, your view of what is going on in your life and in the world, and how you process that information.
….. WE AS BELIEVERS NEED THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE …..
The very last word in this scripture in Isaiah is TREASURE, and you are told that there is a TREASURE in the fear of the Lord. You know, if I knew there was treasure in a particular section of my yard, you have to know I would be doing all to unearth it. There are TREASURES HERE, TRUTHS, THAT WE NEED TO UNCOVER, that if you will look with me, I believe His light will bring deliverance of wrong perceptions.
…. Matthew 6:21 says, “For where your treasure is there your heart will be also” ………
THE FEAR OF THE LORD is to reverence (to revere is to regard with deep respect and love, deference-as you decrease He will increase, regarding as holy) Him, x dreadful (inspiring dread, terrible or awesome), x exceedingly(surpassing, extraordinary), fearfulness(afraid and therefore obedient). What I believe is being talked about here is having the proper perspective of who He is and THEN ORDERING OUR LIVES ACCORDINGLY IN RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM, and giving Him the honor due. HUMILITY. He should be our delight.
You are a treasure to Him, and your reverent fear and worship of Him, is His treasure from you. Yes, He inhabits our praises, our worship is a result of this love, and don’t forget worship is not just a point in time but ALL THE TIME, its what we say and do, and think that is important, AS UNTO THE LORD. If you will fear Him as you should, you will find true FREEDOM in your relationship with Him and others. You will find yourself flowing with Him in the Holy Spirit, and really enjoying your life and purpose. Look at this verse in Proverbs:
“The reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it rests satisfied; he cannot be visited with [actual] evil,” Proverbs 19:23.
LIFE….. RESTS SATISFIED…… CANNOT BE VISITED WITH EVIL. What a promise of peace to hold on to.
You need to quit acting like you are at the end of the world, and afraid of whats coming. No! Greater and more wonderful things are in store for you if you will trust Him to be the God He is for you. Any other fear but the fear of the Lord, will bring a snare to you for defeat. Don’t give in to the devil because he robs, steals, and destroys. As a child of the living God, you are SAFE IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS, (Isaiah 49:16).
“Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense (compensation); he will come and save you,” Isaiah 35:4 (KJV).
Hallelujah!!! That’s your God!
*** GET THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE ***
In the first part of Isaiah 33:6 you see the words WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE.. These are key words we need to look at.
“Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, And the strength of salvation; The fear of the Lord is His treasure,” Isaiah 33:6.
“1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; 4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee,” Proverbs 2:1-11 (KJV).
These are mighty directives for us to follow, you have to receive His words, listen to His wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding. Cry out for it, with your voice! Seek it as for treasure: Matthew 13:44 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”
Have you truly sold out to Jesus? Have you bought the field of His vision for you? It is time to surrender and make Him LORD. You will not be able to move into the future without the proper perspective and relationship with your God. He must be first, no matter what…... Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Look at the first part Isaiah 33:6 again, “And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation.” Notice that stability comes from wisdom and knowledge. Stability means faithfulness, you will see the faithfulness of God as you submit and seek this wisdom, knowledge, and understanding,…… AND STRENGTH OF SALVATION….
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell,” Psalm 27:1-2 (KJV).
Beloved, Jesus is all you need, order your life aright and find the freedom to propel you forward for Him.
“Oh my child, I love you so, will you not hearken unto my words, my heart, for I have so much for you. All in my hands it is, stay close, and you will hear my heart for it beats after you. You are mine, and I do it all for you,” He says.
