Pressure
A diamond is born because of intense heat and pressure.
It’s the intense heat and pressure on carbon monoxide that takes just coal and causes a diamond to be born. In other words, if the pressure is just right, if the heat is just right and the coal will submit and not get up and move away from the heat and move away from the pressure.
The pressure and the heat can cause the coal to give birth to a diamond. Through these trials, you will see the treasure.
That’s why David said in Psalms 119, “Open my eyes to the wondrous things all around me…..”
Picture it right now, Jesus is hanging there in the middle and there’s a thief on one side. The thief on one side looks and he sees worthless, he sees nothing.
He sees the blood. He sees that crown of thorns. He sees the blood spilling out from His side and His feet and His hands.
He hears The King of Glory groaning and praying, “Father, forgive them…” and he sees nothing but worthlessness and yet curses the Savior with his last breath.
On the other side of the cross, there is yet a man looking at the same thing, he saw the same blood, the same cross, the same suffering and wounds.
He saw the same crown of thorns piercing his head. However his eyes get opened to wondrous things and he cries out,
“Remember me… I see a treasure on that middle cross and would You remember me, King Jesus, when You come into Your kingdom”.
Amen that very part as I write this brings tears to my eyes.
And Jesus turned to him and said, “This day, you will be with Me in paradise”.
He just found the treasure in that trial. He just found the diamond under all the pressure.
If you are feeling crushed and in despair, pressed or in darkness, you are in a powerful place of transformation.
