Press On!
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” Hebrews 12:1.
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: but I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway,” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.
“I say to press on.
Press on through all the things that you witness these days.
Press on no matter what happens in your daily lives.
Press on in sorrows and in joy.
Press on when the sky is cloudy and when it is filled with sunshine.
You will be given strength for every day. You will be given the means and the equipping to continue the journeys that you are upon.
But you must train yourselves to be ready for the things that are ahead. For you will be stretched in more ways than you can imagine.
A long distance runner trains so that he can run in a marathon. He must be healthy and ready to run those long distances.
The training that he goes through is much different than one would go through as a sprinter.
For a sprinter would just train for short distances. He would learn to run as fast as he could to compete in a race.
He is only concerned about sprinting to the finish line. But if one is training as a long distance runner they must pace themselves in order to come to the finish line.
You My People, must train this way. You must be able to train yourselves in rain or shine, in darkness and in light, in good times and in bad.
For the road that lies ahead will be paved with all kinds of obstacles for you.
But if you have trained for them then you will make it through them successfully.”
