Preserving the Legacy of the Faith

Divine Resident ~ Divine Residence
I was meditating this morning when I heard this word from the Holy Spirit: “God is both a Divine Resident and a Divine Residence!”
A DIVINE RESIDENT :- “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell INSIDE them, and walk INSIDE them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people,” 2 Corinthians 6:16.
A DIVINE RESIDENCE :- “For INSIDE of him we live, and INSIDE of Him we move, and INSIDE of Him we have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring,” Acts 17:28.
Stop waiting and expecting His Divine Visitation, that was the Old Testament manifestation!
They experienced his Divine Visitation but we have His Divine Habitation.
The sum total problem of the and in the Body of Christ is the presentation of the New Testament from the Old Testament perspective!
Preserving the Legacy of the Faith
This vision was shown me last week of a young preacher who was zealously preaching the Word, but didn’t know exactly where some books of the Bible were.
So he would just keep flipping the pages of the bible and use his eyes to scan through while flipping them.
He was more concerned in raising money unnecessarily.
I observed how he was quickly flipping the pages of the Bible open and knew he wasn’t conversant with the books of the Bible. I quietly sat watching him do what he was doing.
So I stepped up to him and asked why he was forcing money out of the people?
His response was, “I don’t have full rights on others, but the ones I led to Christ, I have full rights over their purses.”
I saw deep within him that he was genuine, but was also naive in the things of God.
That was the reason why he was flipping the pages of the Bible open to search for the book he wanted to preach from, instead of just going straight to where the book was.
I took him aside and began to explain to him in details the purpose of the call, the ministry and taught him more accurately the Word of God.
With keen interest he listened to me and was so willing to learn.
When I woke up that midnight, I knew what the LORD was showing me.
Most young people today in ministry are NOT been well taught the Word by those from whom they drew their spiritual nourishment.
All they knew were the things they saw their leaders do, and felt that was right!
So they went on to replicate what they saw in error. Permit me to use the words ‘honest error’.
We have an assignment to SINGLE THEM OUT, and teach them ACCURATELY the Word of God!
Apollos was one of such men who was an eloquent speaker and orator, mighty in his words, but all he knew was the baptism of John.
Acquilia and Priscillia, who were students of Paul, listened to him, took him in, and showed him the word MORE ACCURATELY.
In Acts 19, Paul met the students of Apollos, asking them if they have received the Holy Spirit and their response was shocking to Paul.
He took them aside and taught them accurately. The people were like their priest.
I know some of these young men are genuine, but we need MENTORING APOSTLES who can re-teach them like Acquila, Priscillia and the Apostle Paul.
This is the only way forward I know to preserve THE LEGACY OF THE FAITH which was once and for all handed down to us!
