Prepare – The Messiah is coming
4 Words in 1
Is it the pre-wrath rapture or pre-tribulation rapture?
Before Jesus’ coming, many events of unimaginable consequences will have taken place in this modern world. We have already witnessed wide scale global upheavals in recent years in greater intensity.
In Mathew 24, Jesus spoke conclusively about these events that we now face today:
“See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains,” Mathew 24:6-8.
Are we seeing these global crisis in our times? I suggest to you that this prophecy is daily being fulfilled on the world stage.
Humanity has never been shaken any other time. Our hope amidst these storms, is no doubt explainable as being the footsteps of our Messiah, soon coming. We have to be confronted by the realities of global crisis, yet Jesus said, that the end is still to come. I don’t think we should be ignorant, as some incorrectly believe, that the Church does not have to go through tribulation.
There is good evidence to suggest that even the people of God will have to experience in partially the shaking as we see today. But also we are the marked generation, spoken of as the wine and oil church, to be preserved from these events to prevail upon us,
“And I heard what seemed to be a voice in the midst of the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius, and do not harm the oil and wine!” Revelation 6:6.
We have to correctly put in meaning, what Jesus meant, when He said, “tribulations of that hour,” as that was a general term to explain the events surrounding the birth pangs. That the saints do hear of and face these days. These are the world news headlines, just as we hear human crisis that underscore the activities of the apocalyptic horsemen and their riders.
A good suggestion is not pre-tribulation rapture but pre-wrath rapture. We therefore, are hopeful for pre-wrath rapture, where the saints will be caught up before God pours out his indignation upon nations of the earth and those who will have the mark and identity of the beast.
God cannot judge His own whom He has marked with the blood of His Son, but the rest He will judge during His wrath.
“The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image,” Revelations 16:2.
The Trumpet Sound, Rapture of the Believers
Scriptures point out two phases of Jesus return to the earth. In one of these two, He comes for His bride, which is the blood-washed church, that has walked in His ways of obedient to His word. At that hour, He descends in the clouds and both the living and the dead in him will be caught up en route to Heaven.
Revelations 5:9 describe these multitudes, nations and tongues before heavenly throne, singing the song of the redeemed, a celebration that climaxes to the wedding of the Lamb (Revelations 19: 7-8).
Meanwhile, the earth faces a 7 years period of tribulation as the Antichrist takes over the earth. This man of sin is revealed only after the church is raptured. At the end of this period, the Messiah shall again descend with the saints to Jerusalem. He is going to wage war against the assembled armies of the world and the Antichrist, (Revelations 19:18-19, Isaiah 63:1-7, Zechariah 12: 1-9, Zechariah 14:2-4). He defeats them at the battle of Armageddon. This victory of the Lamb over the Nations of the earth marks the beginning of millennial reign of Christ, the period of his iron scepter reign.
The question many have asked is when will the rapture occur within the sequencing in the book of revelation. In 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, there is a prophecy yet to be fulfilled, but shall be soon, speaking of this event rapture. It says, “The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of archangel, and with THE TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.”
In this scripture, the Lord gave some clue that it is at the voice of archangel and at the blowing of the specific Trump of God. The two events together are of significance in that their occurrence after the church age, should be noted as they demarcate the rupture timeline. It is also important to realize that after the chapters 1,2,3, there is no more mentioning of the church on earth. We see the redeemed sing the song of victory in heaven. The church having been exempted from the wrath of God is preserved in heaven during the period of the wrath of the Lamb.
But Apostle Paul also spoke of this Last Trump, In 1 Corinthians 15: 52. Remember this Trumpet is sounded by The Lord himself. It was the very trumpet that God sounded on the third day at the hour when he met the children of Israel on the mountain. A bible picture of the rapture is illustrated in this visitation on the third day where the Lord descended with trumpet sound to meet Moses up the mountain, a foreshadowing of the rapture of the church. Ultimately, a promise was given where The Lord also said to the entire congregation, who had washed their garments and prepared in holiness to meet with the Lord, saying, “When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain,” Exodus 19:13.
We clearly see the restriction that accompanies this event, that explain as to why Moses alone had the precious opportunity to meet with God. A picture being painted for today’s church here, is that only the blood washed believers who have maintained the commandments of the Messiah will take part in being caught up with the Lord at his coming.
Today remains yet the same requirement, to fulfill before the church is raptured.
“Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they took their stand at the foot of the mountain. Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the LORD had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly. And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him in thunder. The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up,” Exodus 19:17-20.
Now as we have already seen, there are utmost two trumpets that the Lord himself blasts, not his angels or not even the twenty four elders, one in the Old testament that pictures the rupture and the one that ushers the real rupture, it is therefore apparent that the trumpet that sounds at Revelation 4:1, definitely marks the beginning of the rupture.
We cannot place rapture at the last trumpet in the “trumpet judgements” that come between Revelations 8 and chapter 11. To place the rapture at the sounding of the last trump negate pre-wrath rupture truth, since we all know that God has not appointed his children for wrath.
The period of the seventh angelic trumpet underscore the fact that, if the church was really on earth, she would have gone through much judgment a long with societies that have rejected Christ, this we know is untrue because of the very nature of our God. “He has not appointed us to suffer wrath but to receive his salvation,” 1 Thessalonians 5:9.
Another disqualifying factor is that all the seven apocalyptic trumpets are sounded by the angels so the last trumpet in this category does not qualify to be the blast from the mouth of God according 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Rapture has to occur sometimes earlier just after the church history is over. Remember the messages to seven churches fit so well in church history to date and will end after the last appointed believer comes into the kingdom. More so at the opening of the fifth seal in Revelations 5, we see the tribulation saints, their souls lying under the altar crying for vengeance. At this hour the events after the fifth seal suggest that no gospel can be preached because the tribulation has began or it is mid of it.
Prior to this events, The Antichrist is revealed at the opening of the first seal, this only possible after the church is raptured.
Ministering in the flesh, not The Spirit
I pray that after reading this post, many Christians will begin to check out their motives.
We cannot all fit at the pulpit, but pulpit can fit in all of us. I have witnessed many just jumping around and taking offense, as to why they are not allowed pulpit serving.
Their hearts says they can do what others are doing much better than anyone else. These people, even if they would have been allowed, whatever they do, will never glorify God, because it is not God they wanted to glorify.
You don’t move forward to shine before men or to correct their messes. These people are driven by the flesh. Flesh get offended easily, for it, must only complain or murmur for the things it must have that it is denied.
If there is anything that is supposed to be done in the spirit, and the spirit gets you offended, then you better know that you are not the right person to do it, you are going to be shamefully exposed.
On the other hand, when things of the spirit are delayed, the spirit only thirsts and is joy full to prepare for it, should the opportunity come another time. Spirit, will never complain.
Prepare – The Messiah is coming
We are in the end-times, but there should not be any differences as to whether the Messiah is coming or not, this is not debatable. His coming is very soon.
We may have diverse opinions on eschatological matters, but really, commentaries don’t negate the fact that we must prepare the way for the Messiah.
I don’t see it as a big deal, how you sequence the events in the book of revelation, however, one thing must stand out for you: that the world is in need of redemption, and it is this generation of the figtree, that sees the return of Jesus.
Things like pre tribulation rapture, mid or post, or even when is the battle of Magog, will come up. You just prepare – The Messiah is coming.
Shalom,
