Praying Romans 12:1 – Our Living Sacrifice Offering
In Romans 12:1 we read: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
As Derek Prince says: “you may never have placed your body on God’s alter as a living sacrifice. This is the gateway to knowing God’s will and finding your place. You can try avenue after avenue, journey after journey, but if you never complete this step, you will never really arrive.”
If you wish to change your circumstances and make a giant step forward in your relationship with Jesus, please pray this prayer with openness and sincerity.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You that on the cross You died for me, that I might be forgiven, receive eternal life and become a child of God.
Lord, I come to You as the Head over the Church. I put my body now, Lord, on the alter of Your service, and I ask You to put me in my place in the Body. I give myself to You, without reservation. From this day forward, my body belongs to You. It will go where You tell it to go. It will do what You tell it to do. It will say what You say it to do. It will serve in any way You tell it to serve.
Thank You, Lord, for receiving me as I come to You through Your name. Amen.
The foregoing prayer is extracted from the book “Called to Conquer: Finding Your Assignment in the Kingdom of God” by Derek Prince.
How do you give your body to Christ on a daily basis as in what’s sm example of a typical day giving ur body to Christ on the alter?
