Prayer Councils, Heavenly Court Representation and The Ministry of the Censers
The disciples asked after they had watched The LORD JESUS praying; “Lord, teach us to pray?” (Luke 11:1)
Though answered, this question remains one of the most asked in the hearts of many Christians today!
The art, principle, mystery, process of prayer that Apostle James wrote about in The Scriptures in James 5:16 that makes power available to birth desired results seemingly remains a mystery.
“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16.
The redemption of man through the sacrifice of The LORD JESUS CHRIST brings us into the family of GOD empowering us to be called sons of GOD.
This gives access to a wonderful communication system between a Father and a Son — a relationship we enjoy richly by the ministry of The Holy Spirit.
In the course of this beautiful relationship, we have requests we desire to make to The FATHER; requests for oneself, loved ones, ones city, nation and the world in general.
This profound access and relationship I have with My Father makes me understand that I can share my deepest burdens with HIM.
However; much more than communicating with him and just telling The FATHER my requests — I discover that I have to pray to The FATHER about my requests.
How is it that a casual, sitting on The Father’s lap, baring my mind out in telling The Father my request, differs from me “praying to The Father” about my requests?
The disciples had been with The LORD JESUS CHRIST for over three years in HIS walk on earth; then suddenly, The LORD says to them in John 16:23-24;
“An in that day, ye shall ask me nothing. Verily verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask The Father in My Name, He will give it to you. Hitherto, have ye asked nothing in My Name; ask and ye shall receive, that your joy May be full”.
Astounding! They have been with The LORD for about three years, shared their private burdens, concerns, pain with him, yet The LORD said to them, up until that point “they have asked nothing…..”
Prayer is more than a casual sitting on The Fathers lap conversation.
Prayer is a process of adjudication.
Like the judicial system in our nations; the desire for justice over a matter culminates in making a request; which is actually a prayer; stating before the adjucators; your plea, your innocence or your right standing in desiring a specific set of requests.
These requests; in addition to your standing of plea, innocence or qualification; is then weighed on the scales and balance — in the earthly realm, the constitutional demands and set requirements — as your requests are granted.
The Book Of Hebrews 12 reveals our Father as The Supreme Judge Of all amongst the general congregation of all in Heaven and on earth.
Every request, desire, though shared in the loving laps and arms of The Father; must rise before The Supreme Judge Of all who in righteousness and justice determines that we are ready for what we seek.
A Judge on earth whose child has a demand for justice — to be granted his worth; may have such communication in the loving arms of HIS Father; and be heard and counseled — however; his request must go through the official adjucation processes for ordinances, decrees, sentences, rulings to be passed — releasing the authority and consent to see his request implemented.
The Apostle Paul writes in Hebrews 4:16; about we coming boldly to the Throne Of Grace to obtain Grace in times of need — revealing the process by which we make requests and obtain answer to our requests as – coming boldly to the Throne Of Grace.
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16.
The Psalmist writes profoundly about The Throne Of GOD being a Throne whose foundation is Of Righteousness and Justice (Psalm 89:14).
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and Truth go before Your face.” Psalm 89:14.
There are many things we have desired, many things we have hoped for, many things we have talked to The Father about — that we have not really “asked” for and set on the process of adjucation for righteous decisions to be made on our behalf in times of need.
The Apostle John writes concerning The LORD JESUS CHRIST our High Priest saying in 1 John 2:1,
“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an “Advocate” with The Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
A profound revelation of the adjucation process to obtain mercy.
In the midst of all those in Israel with a desire for righteousness; The LORD said to The Prophet Ezekiel as seen in Ezekiel 22:30,
“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap, that I should not destroy it, but I found none….”
The burdens, discontent, sincere desire for righteousness in our hearts for lives and nations we all bear must translate into prayer and must bring us to being a prayer council for our nations.
Prayer councils are called to participate in the adjucation process to restore the balance of righteous justice in their territories of assigned influence.
They are entrusted with scrolls, carry prayer burdens and stand before The LORD presenting requests, bringing repentance for the accusations of the enemy, standing as a righteous voice of witness, contending for the release of mercy and righteous judgments on behalf of their territories and the saints of GOD.
They bear the authority of the censer of that territory; carrying the prayers of the saints before The Righteous and Just Throne Of GOD; seeing the requests and decrees of The LORD established and proclaiming the judgments of The LORD.
“And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before The Throne. And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before GOD, out of the angels hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with the fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth; and there were voices, and thunderings, and thunderstorms, and an earthquake”, Revelation 8:3-5.
Isn’t that profound! There are those who bear the authority of the censer over regions and territories; they carry the prayers of the saints and offer it before the golden altar before The Throne.
They also carry fire from the altar, being a representation of the answers to the prayers of the saints determined in righteousness and justice and cast it back into the earth — and there were voices, thunderings, thunderstorms and an earthquake.
Amazingly! Prayer has a hierarchy, an adjucation system, by which requests are made and offered before the Throne Of Righteousness and Justice Of GOD — determinations made in righteousness and justice – and an obtaining and release of the answers of the prayers, which are, the rulings, the decrees, sentences which are then sent and published by the sound of the thunderings and thunderstorms for implementation.
You see that!
Like the experience of the centurion in Acts 10:3-4,
“He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an Angel Of GOD coming to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and he said. “What is it LORD?” And he said unto him, “Thy prayers and thine alms are come up as a memorial before GOD”.”
This is the response to a man who was yet to be saved; reemphasizing the authority of The Father as Judge over all — saved and unsaved — showing how prayers are adjucated.
The response to Cornelius as delivered by The Angel Of GOD revealed to Cornelius what he must now do to be saved.
Much more than a sincere desire for righteousness, a discontent for unrighteousness, a desire for rendering of justice, recompense and reward; there must be a translation of these desires in our hearts to prayer — a request made in righteousness— so that the offering of our prayers by the ministry of those bearing the censer will result in a response — an answered prayer that makes power available.
This is a time where prayer councils must begin to arise in cities, to stand as representatives in heavens courts; and for The Body Of Christ to discern the ministry of the censers — that righteous requests begins to be made, righteous decrees obtained from heavens court — and we take our place laboring to restore the rule, decree and ordinances of righteousness and justice in our lives, families and nations.
