Lesson 2 in Series – “Local Churches”

In the Scriptures it says that IN THE LAST DAYS PERILOUS TIMES SHALL COME. It is true that this is that day because all around us we see the departure from the Faith once delivered to the Saints. But the true Church is still in the earth and will be A POCKET OF HOLINESS in the place where she is. The Real Reason why is because She has been called out of the Kingdom of Darkness INTO THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT. SHE WILL BE CREATED IN HOLINESS, AND WALK EVEN AS JESUS WALKED. SHE WILL BE HEAVENLY NOT EARTHLY. SHE WILL NOT BE MARKED FOR HER TOLERANCE OF SIN BUT FOR HER PECULIAR DISLIKE OF SIN.

Many a “PROFESSING CHURCH” are TAINTED WITH SIN, and many False Teachers and False Prophets have arisen to destroy. Their work does speak loud and clear because so many in ‘PROFESSING CHURCHES” are now departed from the SOUND DOCTRINE that the Apostle Paul warned the young preacher to PREACH… saying… PREACH SOUND DOCTRINE. The modern Local “Churches” MANY, have long since departed from Soundness and from the very Word of God itself and have become Whores to the Truth of the Word of God.

VERY LITTLE HOLINESS IS IN THEM TODAY. Matter fact many have become POCKETS OF SHAME AND DISGRACE. The average “Church” is a UNHOLY rather than HOLY. They are only resembling the Moose and Elk Lodge, or the VFW that serves it beer and has a party. PLAY CHURCH. They only toy or PLAY with the things of God making mockery of the very Word of God that they “PROFESS TO BELIEVE” by corrupting the things written and substituting their PERNICIOUS WAYS into their Creeds. For years now these Corrupt churches (LOCAL CHURCH) have drug through the MUD… the very Scriptures themselves until the way is NOT A WAY OF HOLINESS BUT A WAY OF EVIL.

At this Hour it is IMPERATIVE TO CALL THE CLARION CALL FOR HOLINESS IN THE LOCAL CHURCH. As the Writer under Divine inspiration wrote in JUDE 3-4

JUDE 3-4 “Beloved when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the Faith which was once delivered unto the Saints.
For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

THE TIME HAS LONG SINCE GONE BY WHEN MEN SHOULD HAVE STOOD IN REBUKE AND PROTEST TO THE VERY WAY MANY HAVE TAKEN. It is NOT NEW now that the Church has back slid and became unholy but it has been prepared for death even like a dead body, by the Mortician. Many have had ALL LIFE DRAINED FROM THEM even as they drain the blood from a corpse before burial. Sorry for such a vivid description…. BUT IT IS TRUE. The BLOOD OF JESUS HAS BEEN LONG SINCE REMOVED FROM MANY CHURCHES AND THEY NOW HAVE NO BLOOD POWER. They do not even believe or speak the truth that the Blood of Jesus OVERCOMES ALL SIN. Rather they justify their sin and sweep it under the rug. Many do not even believe in the Virgin Birth of Jesus which is necessary to even know that HIS BLOOD WAS THE BLOOD OF GOD AND THIS IS WHY HIS BLOOD CAN TAKE AWAY SIN AND CAUSE MEN TO BE CLEAN.

All SOUND DOCTRINE such as the Virgin Birth and the Blood of Christ has long since been thrown out. It is easier than after that to ORDAIN HOMOSEXUAL PRIEST AND CONDONE SAME SEX MARRIAGE OR EVEN APPROVE ABORTION.

Clergy are now mere MORTICIANS who preach to DEAD BODIES and prepare them for their FINAL RESTING PLACE…………. “HELL FIRE”. Many years ago I went to a church that was holding services in a converted FUNERAL HOME. The pastors study was actually in the same room that had once been used to prepare the bodies for burial. I thought to myself, Oh what a place to pray and prepare. WAS THERE STILL DEATH ANGELS STANDING BY???

I will never be a MORTICIAN!!! I will never preside over a FUNERAL HOME. I WILL NOT I TELL YOU, I WILL NOT.!!! I DO NOT EVEN WANT TO BREATHE THE SAME AIR THAT THEY BREATH. I have already taken my stand against DEAD RELIGION that leads DEAD MEN TO ETERNAL DEATH. There is NOTHING in this world more disgusting to me than A RELIGIOUS DEAD PREACHER PREACHING DEAD SERMONS TO DEAD MEN.

I heard about a Church some time back where a man died in the church and they called an ambulance to come pick up the body during a church service. When the ambulance came to get him….. THEY CARRIED OUT 3 ENTIRE ROWS OF PEOPLE BEFORE THEY FOUND THE ACTUAL DEAD BODY!!! Of course I am joking but folks really IT IS NO JOKE!!!! Many are just that dead. They are so dead they REEK WITH A TERRIBLE ODOR AND EVEN A DOG WOULD BE UNCOMFORTABLE IN IT.

THE LOCAL CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD MUST MOVE NOW TO HOLINESS. It is IMPERATIVE THAT THE CHURCH BECOME HOLY. The Scriptures say that WITHOUT HOLINESS NO MAN WILL SEE THE LORD. Yes I said the Scripture says…. NO MAN WILL SEE THE LORD WITHOUT HOLINESS. It is not enough now to talk about it, but this verse says MEN MUST BE HOLY. God did not save men to continue to sin and live like the lost and dieing world!!! He did die to destroy the works of the devil and to put sin to death. The Scripture does say that JESUS DIED TO PUT SIN TO DEATH. If sin is put to death than we are DEAD. The Apostle Paul said that in:

Galatians 5:20 “I am CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST nevertheless I live, YET NOT I, BUT CHRIST LIVETH IN ME: and the life which I now live in the Flesh I live by Faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Men who are born again and belong to Jesus are now DEAD TO SIN. Than just tell me this, WHY DO MEN SAY NOW IT IS OK TO SIN IN THE CHURCH? If Jesus Christ did Crucify sinful men to save them, THAN HOW CAN MEN SAY THAT IT IS NOW OK TO SIN? Yet the Church today condones sin and even have stopped in MANY PLACES TO EVEN PREACH AGAINST SIN. It is really quite comfortable to sit in many “Churches” today and be living like a Sinner or ungodly person and NEVER FEEL ANY FIRE OF CONVICTION. When even the “Pastor” lives a most despicable life himself and even the members are STINKING SINNERS. THERE IS NO REPENTANCE OR CALLS FOR REPENTANCE IN SUCH A CHURCH. MATTER OF A FACT.. MOST OF THOSE DEAD CHURCHES DO NOT EVEN GIVE ALTAR CALLS TODAY. !!!!

Let me read you a passage of scripture found in:

1 JOHN 3:4-10 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the trangression of the Law.
⁵ And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins: and in him is no sin.
⁶ Whosoever abideth in him SINNETH NOT: whosoever sinneth HATH NOT SEEN HIM, NEITHER KNOWN HIM.
⁷ Little children, LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
⁸ HE THAT COMMITTETH SIN IS OF THE DEVIL: FOR THE DEVIL SINNETH FROM THE BEGINNING. FOR THIS PURPOSE THE SON OF GOD WAS MANIFESTED, THAT HE MIGHT DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL.
⁹ Whosoever is born of God DOETH NOT COMMIT SIN, FOR HIS SEED REMAINETH IN HIM: AND HE CANNOT SIN, BECAUSE HE IS BORN AGAIN.
¹⁰ In this the Children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: WHOSOEVER DOETH NOT RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, NEITHER HE THAT LOVETH NOT THIS BROTHER.”

I want to be totally honest now; the above Scripture is NOT TEACHING TOTAL PERFECTION and that a born again Christian can never sin period, but a careful study of the wording in the original will discover that what is said here is …. A BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE LIKE A SINNER who has never been saved. The reason is THE SEED REMAINS IN HIM AND THAT SEED IS THE HOLY SPIRIT. A true Christian WILL NOT BE ABLE TO LIVE LIKE THE LOST. He cannot. He will be unable to be happy living with himself because the Holy Spirit will constantly remind him of who he is. God is a Holy God and He wants and demands holiness. The Holy Spirit does not live in the Lost man… or woman, but He does live in the Child of God. So therefore what this passage is saying is…

A CHILD OF GOD CAN NOT PRACTICE HABITUALLY SIN. HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE THE SAME SINNER HE WAS BECAUSE GOD HAS CHANGED HIM AND HE IS A NEW CREATURE. HE IS BORN OF GOD AND GOD’S SPIRIT DOES ABIDE IN HIM. A TRUE SAINT WILL BE NO HABITUAL, DAY AFTER DAY, YEAR AFTER YEAR….. SINNER. HE WILL BE A SAINT. HE WILL LIVE AND BE LIKE JESUS OF WHOM THE SCRIPTURE SAYS ALL WHO ARE CALLED ARE PREDESTINED TO BE CONFORMED TO THE SAME IMAGE AS THE SON (JESUS).

The TRUE CHURCH will than be a POCKET OF BELIEVERS WHO ARE CHANGED AND BEING MADE HOLY. This is why that many TRUE CHURCHES ARE SMALL. The reason is that, just like the Scripture says… FEW THERE BE THAT FIND THAT WAY. Jesus Said you must be BORN AGAIN OF THE SPIRIT. Many today who are attending “Churches” have never had more than a casual religious experience and they ARE NOT BORN OF THE SPIRIT.

When a person is Born Again of the Spirit, he or she will be different, THAT PERSON WILL BE PECULIAR. Yes I said PECULIAR. When you go into a WORLDLY CHURCH there is NOTHING PECULIAR with them. They look like the World, smell like the world and talk like the world. THEY ARE OF THE WORLD. But the True Believers Church will be PECULIAR AND DIFFERENT. That CHURCH will be HOLY AND BECOMING MORE HOLY EVERY DAY. The pure fact will be SIN WILL BE HATED AND TURNED FROM. There will be a HOLY HIGHWAY AND YOU WILL FIND THOSE THERE WALKING UPON IT.

SUMMARY:

A TRUE CHURCH will speak about HOLINESS. The People will not look like or act like the sinful worldly people but will be different and changed. The People of God will POINT TO GOD who has truly called them out of Darkness and into the Light. Yes the True Church of God will be a HEAVENLY MINDED CHURCH. That Church will be more HEAVENLY MINDED THAN EARTHLY MINDED. They are easily seen to be Peculiarly different because they are NOT HAPPY WITH THIS WORLD.

The real TALE TALE EXAMPLE that will be easily noted when you go into a TRUE CHURCH OF GOD is the LACK OF THE WORLD AND SIN. The People will be all talking about Jesus and living like him. Their main subject will be ABOUT BEING PLEASING TO GOD AND LIVING A HOLY LIFESTYLE. True HOLINESS will be easily seen.

IT MOST LIKELY WILL BRING THE SINNER TO TEARS… JUST TO BE IN THEIR PRESENCE.

There are some TRUE LOCAL CHURCHES TODAY IN THIS WORLD and there will ALWAYS BE, because…. AS LONG AS GOD IS CALLING MEN TO HIMSELF, WASHING THEM IN HIS BLOOD AND LIVING WITHIN THEM… THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A…… “CHURCH”. IT WILL BE THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD.

AND THE WORLD WILL KNOW THEM WHEN THEY SEE THEM. THE REASON IS…. THEY ARE NOT OF THIS EARTH, BUT THEY ARE HEAVENLY. THEY HAVE BEEN VISITED BY AND LIVE TO PLEASE AND SERVE THEIR HEAVENLY KING.
