Plowshares Into Swords
A Word for today.
“Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears.” Joel 3:10.
It takes a blacksmith to do this — to beat plowshares into swords.
Do you know what gives a Sword its ‘temper’, it’s strength, and ability to stay sharp?
When they’ve been through the heating, beating, and shaping process, they are not dipped in water to cool them down!
No! Cooling them off in water makes them brittle and no good for battle. Instead, the still hot Sword is dipped in oil!
The chemical reaction of oil removes the brittleness and leaves the Battle Sword as we know it! Strong durable and sharp!
The LORD is speaking to me about beating the Church’s Plowshares into Swords for the coming Spiritual Warfare.
The Church has for so long plowed every ground, but now is The Season of Warfare.
“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12.
In this season of great uncertainty, NOW is the time to beat our plowshares into swords and to finish that process, we need to dip our swords into the oil of The Holy Spirit!
The battle is spiritual; the weapons spiritual; but the warfare is real!
The powers of darkness must be driven back.
Who else will do that, if not the people of God?
~ Chris G. Bennett
Chris Bennett came to salvation in 1962 but didn’t begin ministry until 2007 — a late-comer! Now mandated by The LORD to prophesy and open old wells of revival in the U.K., but especially in Wales. He has also operated Healing Rooms, and worked with deliverance teams, all with his wife, Linda. Happily now doing whatever The LORD asks of them! Founder, with wife Linda, of their ministry The Upper Room Encounter.
What chemical reaction of the oil should it be?

THE LIVING SWORD
The Lord has saved us from death. We know the verse below that speaks about the [a] ‘fear’ of the Lord. But part [b] of that verse is also significant:
“[a] The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
[b] and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” “(Proverbs 9:10)
What kind of knowledge is spoken of here? Whatever it is, it is not ‘living’ knowledge. The Holy One is taking me to the verse that speaks about the knowledge of the tree of good and evil (Gen 1:26). The ‘good’ knowledge is dead. Indeed, the other tree in the garden is the tree of life. We need the knowledge of the Father that imparts life to His children. I am being led to the post by Lucy Parker / Antony Asaph Wekesa. Here is the part that is relevant:
“Cease from calling your houses places to worship me when you only preach your if it feels good ideas, and nothing concerning who I am, my holiness or hunger for me.”
and here:
“I want the world to know my love to them through Jesus my Son, I want the knowledge and glory of their God to cover the earth as the waters cover the seas.”
I believe that the Father is speaking about experiential and relational knowledge. People who don’t have knowledge about the LIVING GOD (Jer 10:10) are basically dead.

ANOINTING AND LIFE
According to Larry Parr, steel needs to be dipped in a) oil and b) water. Perhaps it can be dipped into oil twice.

But this reminded me of a prophecy:
“Then I saw another mighty angel come down from the heavens and strike the rock with a mighty rod. It split in the middle and two rivers began to flow from out of the rock. One was like golden oil and the other was pure crystal clean water.”

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 Amp 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 being ready to punish every act of disobedience when your own obedience [as a church] is complete. John’s baptism was about repentance believing that Jesus was coming to establish His Kingdom! Well Jesus Has come with His baptism and Has established His Kingdom, the problem is that we don t believe his baptism and Kingdom actually has all power and authority over the serpent’s kingdom and his temptations, we don’t spend those 40 days in the wilderness consecrating ourselves overcoming the serpent and becoming totally reliant on our Father we want to minister but on our terms
