Planted in The House of The LORD
“Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God,” Psalms 92:13.
Some people are waiting on their ministry and they haven’t been able to figure out yet that they have a seed of rebellion that won’t let them come under God’s authority or anyone else’s, so they think every time things don’t go the way they think it should that they need to move on and yet they never settle in anywhere. Their roots can not go down deep if they are always being transplanted.
This is not to say that there never has been bad leadership, but these people won’t even stay long enough to find out what their part in the vision of the house is. There is something to say for being planted in the house of the LORD.
We need each other whether we think so or not! One part of a body is not functionable! A foot can not operate without the leg and so forth. And none of us are lone rangers. You will just be forever wandering if you are like this.
Also, we get revelation from the fivefold ministry and from one another as well as from God Himself. Why? Because, God dwells in the apostle, prophet, evangelist, and teacher.
This is where equipping for the work of the ministry is. The Body of Christ has always been God’s Plan! No it is not the perfect pattern for a new testament church yet, but hang in there…. God is doing a work and He wants you to be a part of it!
“And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you,” 1 Corinthians 12:21 (ASV).
“And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.
His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s body (the church),
[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[b]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.” 1 Ephesians 4:11-13 (AMPC).
