Perspective on Prophecy
What do you do if someone says to you, “I have good evidence to say that Jesus is coming back on the Feast of Trumpets in 2017”?
They then add, that it is based on the following:
- What The Father told a person who died and went to face Him.
- What Jesus said before He died.
- What the Holy Spirit has been saying to people.
- The relationship of the Jewish feasts to the death of Jesus.
What do you do?
You do absolutely nothing!
Prophecy is the business of God – not of you.
God has said He requires of you:
“Fear God and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil,” Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.
And also:
“If you love me you will keep my commandments,” John 14:15.
What you need to realise is that you may never see the rapture.
Your next breath or your next heart beat, may be the last you have on this earth, and in a few seconds, you will face God and give an account of your life, to Him.
This is why we always need to be focusing on what God requires us to do, so that we will be not found doing something that is rebellious, and which will take us to hell.
By all means, listen to the person, but do not make it your life’s focus.
Your focus and all things should be seeking the Will of Jesus, His purposes for His Kingdom and to deepen the relationship you have with him.
