Overcoming Spirits of Abandonment and Rejection
Do you struggle with that voice of constant criticism in your own head?
Do you wrestle with a sense of unworthiness, self-rejection, the feeling that you are alone, frequently misunderstood or find it difficult to give and receive love?
Have you found yourself at one time or another in your life making a silent vow to never let someone hurt you again because you felt deeply disappointed by someone you trusted?
These are all indicators of the spirits of abandonment and rejection at work in a person’s life.
These spirits often work through emotional wounds incurred early in life.
They also make it extremely difficult for a person to be able to relate to God or receive the love of their heavenly Father.
You can be free right now and never carry that burden again.
Simply pray:
Father, I forgive my (father, mother, ______, etc) for not showing me love.
I realize they could not love me out of a place of brokenness, and they could not give me what they did not have.
Forgive me for any grudges or resentment I have had towards people that hurt and disappointed me.
I ask You to forgive me for making an ungodly vow that ended up blocking my heart from being able to give and receive love.
I repent for rejecting myself, and I break every agreement with Rejection, Abandonment, Disappointment, Disapproval and Critical spirits.
I renounce these spirits and command them to leave me at once, and I break every agreement that has allowed these spirits a place in my life.
I receive by faith Your love, acceptance and the revelation of my Father’s love for me.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Being free feels much better than living with a constant struggle to hold onto peace.
Try the prayer. It works!

Thank you for sharing this prayer. It added clarity to the situation I was experiencing but didn’t know they were the spirits of abandonment, rejection, disappointment, disapproval, and critical spirits. I had been carrying this sense of abandonment and rejection with me for over 52 years, ever since my dad passed away when I was just 4 years old. I believe since he died, I felt that he abandoned me. I never really came face to face with this issue until now. He died of an illness and I was raised by my single mom with 2 other siblings younger than I. All through my life, I have had issues of rejection, broken relationships, and I was always the one being left. I never did the leaving, although I may have had a hand in instigating the break-up. It’s almost like a pattern of self-sabotage.
Thank you for sharing this prayer! I am in agreement with you – believing in and standing on His promises and power to set us free! In Jesus holy name, Amen.
So many on the internet talk about the spirits of Abandonment and Rejection, but don’t ever provide a prayer. They just give you the symptoms of having these spirits, and that’s it. Thank you so much for the prayer, which is the solution to healing.
Thank you I receive it in Jesus name
What a wonderful prayer. Thank You Heavenly Father!
