Supernatural Provision
We are living in a season of great acceleration.
Many of us are faced with serious situations that are impossible to overcome in the natural unless Jesus intervenes.
The past few weeks I’ve been bombarded with emails, text messages and posts from people who are frantic because of personal situations.
There are some who are traumatized, because they are listening to worldwide events through social media.
There has never been a time in history when the words “Have a blessed day” were replaced with the phrase “stay safe” at the end of a conversation. A spirit of fear has been released and many people are taking the bait.
The Holy Spirit spoke several things to me this morning. One of the things he said was “We could go so much further with God if we spent more time with Him and less time on social media”.
If we receive the revelation from His word it will sustain us and we will be strengthened in perilous times. We will know how to silence the voice of the accuser if we fill ourselves with the Word of God. We need to increase our faith to eradicate all fear.
Then He brought me to this scripture in 1 Kings Chapter 17 where the prophet Elijah said: “As The LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”
There was no rain for three and ½ years after he spoke this word. Then The LORD directed him to go hide at the Brook Cherith, and drink from the brook.
Then The LORD sent ravens to feed him bread and meat, each day and night. After a while the brook dried up and he moved on at The LORD’s direction.
In the days to come we may not need ravens to bring us food but we should not limit God for what He will do. We are living in a time when there is much spiritual activity in the atmosphere.
If The LORD opened our eyes in the Spirit realm, we would see angels as well as demons. We would see hosts of heaven and the manifestation of His presence.
The Bible clearly states that we are to worship Jesus only and not to worship angels but there are instances where The LORD also used Angels in The Bible and He still uses them today.
In 1 Kings Chapter 19 Elijah ran from Jezebel because she threatened to take his life. Jezebel is also a metaphor of a demonic principality of control, manipulation and murder.
Elijah was in so much fear that he asked The LORD to take his life. The spirit of Jezebel is still trying to silence our voices and kill the prophets today but we have authority over it.
Some of you are telling Jesus that the battles are too intense for you to handle and it would be so much easier to go and be with Him in eternity.
There is a time when the warfare will increase just before your greatest victory, but as you remain immovable, steadfast and stand your ground, The LORD will show Himself strong on your behalf.
Don’t allow adverse situations to overwhelm you, but use these times as opportunities to advance in every area of your life.
When Elijah fled from Jezebel, he went to sleep under a broom tree. This time The LORD sent an angel to feed him. The Angel said “get up and eat” and then left him hot bread and water.
He returned a second time and told him to eat again because the journey was too great for him.
The bread represents the living word, fresh revelation, and Jesus who is the bread of life.
The water represents the Holy Spirit. The food and water sustained him for forty days and forty nights.
Then he tried to hide in a cave and the word of The LORD came to him again.
Some of you have prophetic voices that are being silenced. The LORD is saying that as you stop hiding in fear and return to the promises and prophetic words that He had given you, He will bring supernatural provision to sustain you in difficult times.
He is your protection from those who rise up against you, and your advocate against every word curse that has been spoken over your life.
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is your heritage and your vindication from The LORD.
The Holy Spirit has reserved people to walk with you and strengthen you in hard times . They know His voice and are sent to encourage you and hold up your arms in battle.
After Elijah was strengthened, he went on to anoint other prophets as well as Elisha who received a double portion of his spirit. This is the season for the double portion anointing.
The LORD has a personalized mantle for each one of you, and as you continue to walk with Him, you will begin to receive the supernatural provisions that He has for you.
“The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.” 1 Kings 17:6.
“Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. And the Angel of The LORD came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God.” 1 Kings 19:4-8.
