Our Submission Will Release The Grace of God
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
May I share with you my recent experience about TRUTH and FACTS. In these times of increasing darkness and wickedness, and as we are preparing ourselves for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, know that we need to “take the shield of faith, with which we shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” (Ephesians 6:16).
Revelation 12:12 reads: “Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”
Two weeks before I left for my last mission trip, my doctor from the hospital called me to say that my Cancer Marker was very high and she has been monitoring it for several months. It was the highest I have ever had and she said I need to go for a PET Scan or a CT Scan. I rebuked that in Jesus’ name while on the phone and told her I will go for a PET Scan. I had NO FEAR and NO ANXIETY at all during the waiting time (3 – 4 days) and continued to attend to the needs at home and my family, my mission preparation and meetings, continuing my ministry works, all done in the peace of the Lord. I did not lose any sleep nor did I lose my appetite for James 4:7 says “Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
I opted for PET Scan, not because I was looking for Cancer but I was out to prove the glory of God that I have NO CANCER! Indeed, all things are glorious in the Lord! The result confirmed exactly what I believe and know by FAITH in Him who sends me to the mission place! Glory to the Lord who is sovereign, powerful, faithful and glorious! Amen!
The FACTS on my blood test report shows that my cancer marker was high and this was so, even after the doctor ordered the Lab for a re-test. However, the TRUTH and my life are in the hands of God who preserves and protects me from all evil and fears. For as Psalms 91:1-3 reads: ”He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall rest under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Jehovah, my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust. Surely He will deliver you from the fowler’s trap and from the destroying plague.”
Not giving up, the enemy continued to attack me but the Lord raised His standard and used me to foil a robbery at the hair salon that I went to on the last day before I had to leave for my mission. By His grace and counsel, no one was hurt and none were robbed! I am reminded by the words that David spoke to Jehovah in 2 Samuel 22:3, “The God who is my Rock, in Him will I trust. He is my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower, and my Refuge, my Saviour. You save me from violence.”
What was in my mind when the doctor told me the bad news? I was thinking, “Oh, here comes the enemy, trying to stop me from going to the mission that God sends me. I am going anyway!” The Word of God in 2 Timothy 1:7 prompted me, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Indeed, my only help was not the doctor but my sovereign God. By His grace and mercy, I had peace when I sought His face in prayer. Praise and thanks to the Almighty God!
When God requires us to submit to Him, the result is His business! Our submission will release the grace of God into the situation. We can stand, assured of divine protection on God’s comfort and promise for Psalms 91:9-11 says: “Because You, O Jehovah, are My refuge; if You have made the Most High Your dwelling-place, no evil shall befall You, nor shall any plague come near Your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways.”
Brethren, it is comforting to know that God is more than able to turnaround your situation if you would allow Him, with a willing heart of submission. When we have fully surrendered to our glorious God, we will just accept anything and everything from Him. For in His peace, our “waiting” becomes easier. Wearing the full armour of God is important and leave it ON, all the time!
May we be encouraged that God’s plan is always better than ours. His plan is the best, one can ever have. His way is better than ours and His is the only way. His time is better than ours and His kairos time yields perfection. He knows EVERYTHING for He is the Creator of ALL things. He is the Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end; the first and the last. When we turn our life over to God, learn to trust Him and seek His face, He will lead us in His way and to His glory. He is the wonderful Counsellor and gives us grace which alone is sound wisdom. He is understanding itself, and has strength for all those who strengthen themselves in Him for as Proverbs 8:14 says “Counsel and sound wisdom are mine; I am understanding; I have strength.”
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways, says Jehovah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down, and the snow from the heavens, and does not return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring out and bud, and give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do” (Isaiah 55:8-11).
No matter what situation or circumstances we are in, the Lord, our eternal God, can turn them around and grant you peace, for nothing is too difficult for God. With God, the process can be as painless as it can be, for He will counsel and strengthen all who believes and stands with Him by faith, in truth and in spirit. He will enable all and empower all who submits to Him and will honour your obedience – not by might, nor by the power; but by the Spirit.
When God wants to get something done or changed in individuals, in situations or in the nations, He will have His way and nothing can stop His will and His glory! Not even Satan and his agents can stop the will and glory of God for He is sovereign. He rules and reigns and is unstoppable!
Precious people of God, do not allow the apparent facts of what we see, hear or experience cause us fear, for that is exactly what the evil one wants us to be. God can raise His standard far above that of evil and He is more than able to lift you out of all dangers if you will put your trust in Him. Let us stand on the promises of His Word as Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.”
Know that the Lord is looking for a remnant people who is willing and be strong; who fears the Lord and who will stand on His Word in unwavering faith. Life is changing and nations are changing. The Lord is restoring all things in the nations and His people. The Messiah has already come and He is coming again soon! He, the Lord Jesus Christ, is awaiting His precious people to return to the Father’s Heart, to become one in His Covenant, in His way and in unity. “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord”! (Matthew 23:39)
Keep watch and get ready, Bride of the Lamb, for He, the Lord is coming! Jesus said in Luke 21:32-36, “Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Amen and Amen!
