Our LORD Is the One Who Redeems!
I see some weary hearts traveling a path through a long, dark wilderness.
God feels far away, distant, and unresponsive to them. Their faith feels doubtful and uncertain.
They feel alone, vulnerable and unprotected from the cold and the heat. There is the fear of hopelessness and the unknown and that is the place where Satan resides.
As I see them venture along this path, I see crouching in the darkness on both sides is the enemy and his cohorts waiting and watching.
I say unto you, Be vigilant for he will take down anyone on any terms and he must be thwarted at every move he tries to make.
Through all the weary traveling and the trying of their faith, I see these dear souls sit down on a huge rock near the path they were walking.
Then I see one by one some of the enemy’s demonic cohorts come out from among the bushes.
They begin to throw these fiery darts at them. I hear one say, “You are in this mess because of your own dumb mistakes!”
I hear another say, “You are reaping what you sowed, and there is no way for you to get out of this mess!”
I hear another say, “You are paying for your past!”
It is then the devil himself steps out from the hazy darkness into their path.
The lie he decides to spew at them is this, “Where is your God? He is angry with you and yet I could give you the things you want if you would simply give up this ridiculous stand! You shall fail!”
I see those weary ones look the enemy in the eyes. Something begins to rise up within them for the first time since they entered this wilderness.
It is something that strikes alarm and fear in the enemy’s eyes.
It was then I heard these weary souls speak with the authority of Almighty God and say,
“Our LORD is the One who redeems our lives from destruction.
He is a restoring, delivering, redeeming God!
He shall snatch us out of the power of darkness for we have the authority over you.
They raised their hands to Heaven and began to shout forth these words:
“The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you. For in this wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.”
The enemy and all his army then retreated as a newfound strength filled these Children of the Most High. They were coming out of this!
You could climb to the sky, He would be there. If you went deep underground, He would be there.
You could take on the wings of the morning and soar to the farthest horizon and He would be there waiting.
Oh Yes, He sees you even when you are in the dark. Even at night, you are immersed in his light.
God will always take care of his children in the wilderness and is leading you to higher ground!
You can chisel that in stone!
