Our Little Cushion
I was thinking about how we all have a little ‘cushion’ to fall back on — meaning there is something we rely on in the natural instead of 100% on God.
It might be our job, or our bank account, or relatives and friends, or our own intelligence and know how.
But I heard today that God is removing your dependence on that “cushion”, Beloved, so that you can depend totally on Him!
You won’t feel the need for that man-made cushion to fall back on, but you will have total faith that His Arms are there to catch you when you fall.
He is your Rear Guard! He is your Soft Place to fall! He is your Cushion! He is Your Provider and Protector; Your Abba Father!
And I see a Child of God falling back into Jesus’ Arms and as he does, The LORD is releasing him to fly into his God-given destiny; his total dependence is on God alone, soaring completely on the Wings of Grace!
“Beloved. When you feel uncertain, when the things of this life fill you with fear and anxiety and you don’t know where to turn, know that I AM here to catch you when you fall.
I will not let you fail. I will not let the enemy have his way.
The things of this world will fade away. Those things which have been seen as dependable will no longer be there.
Things that seemed certain are no longer certain. All that the world thought was truth is a lie.
Fear not, Beloved. I never change. I AM the same yesterday, today and forever. I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. You are in the world but not of the world.
The ways of the world are not My Ways. Look to Me, My Child. I AM well able to keep you from falling. My Everlasting Arms are always under you.
There is no cushion like your Savior. You cannot fly when you are entangled in worldly bonds. But I AM increasing your faith. Let your faith be as a little child’s.
Total dependency on your Abba Father. Lean on Me, Beloved. I AM giving you a supernatural BOOST in your inner man. The Holy Spirit in you is quickening your mortal body.
I AM opening your eyes to see that I have freed you from the encumbrances that once tied you down to the earth.
I AM He who is faithful. Cast ALL your cares upon Me. Your dependence shall be on Me alone and I AM all you need, My Child.
I AM able and WILL do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think, according to the Powerful One who works in you!
I shall supply all your need according to My riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
My Grace is sufficient for you, My Strength is made perfect in weakness. When you are weak, I AM strong.
I release you now from your worries and cares! Fly on the Wings of Faith and watch MIRACLES manifest as you rest upon My Promises!”
CUSHION : To soften or protect someone or something from the effects of a fall. To protect against force or shock. Something that softens the blow. Buffer. Something that makes the effects of a bad situation less severe.
