Our Free Will!
From time-to-time the term free will is tossed around as something of importance, because we are not puppets that have strings attached to God that force us to do things.
We have our own free will from which we can make decisions in this life.
Our Father doesn’t want robots that are so mechanical that they can’t think for themselves.
God has imbued us with a heart and a mind. We can dream, think, and reflect on our lives.
And yet because of the choices we can make in this life, and our tendency to err and become wayward, we need the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we will remain on the path that He has chosen for us.
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live,” Deuteronomy 30:19-20.
“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; Rather, serve one another humbly in love,” Galatians 5:13.
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you shall serve, whether the God of your ancestors who served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD,” Joshua 24:15.
We certainly do have choices that we can make in this life. All of us make bad decisions at times and eventually those bad choices can catch up with us.
Many of the choices that we make in this life will stay with us either in a good way or a bad way for a long time. But the choice of eternal life is something that lasts forever.
God can make good things come out of the worst of circumstances, and yet we do reap the consequences of what we have sown in this life.
May our free will cause us to draw near to God throughout the everyday circumstances of our lives so that our choices will bear the fruit of God in us.

Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the LORD is a special way in 1975 and has prophesied regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
Lovely.
