Our Callings of the Time
If we were not born for such a time as this, we would really be messing things up, just like the rest of the world has been.
Without purpose, without The LORD’s direction, without the leading of The Holy Spirit, without the Wisdom we really need about how to pray as we ought.
But we truly have been born for such a time as this, for without Faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Jesus also said,
“If you abide in Me and My Word abides in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is My Father glorified that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples.” John 15:7-8
And, we have also been called for such a time as this, for The LORD says,
“I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
This time in history requires us to have the now faith, that which meets the needs and challenges of this generation where the repercussions of one mistake can ravage the entire globe.
In England during World War II, Christians were secretly meeting to pray concerning the war in Europe and their prayer meetings changed the course of the war. In their day in history, they were called “for such a time as this.”
Today we are facing the possibility a much different type of warfare, with many similarities, but much more catastrophic methods and outcomes.
But the weapons that we have today in our arsenal are still the most effective weapons of our warfare, and any warfare.
They are mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God; and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Yes, even the thoughts of our adversaries can be harnessed and captured, brought to the obedience of Christ.
In 2 Kings 6:10-11: It reads;
“Therefore the heart of the King of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing, and he called his servants and said to them; “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?” 2 Kings 6:10-11
And one of his servants said,
“None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your room.” 2 Kings 6:12
Their thoughts can be confounded, and brought to confusion, driving them to the point of paranoia concerning who they can trust.
Their own leaders are known to kill even their own families. It will drive them to their own captivity.
But we have the mind of Christ.
Today, we must really believe that we have the mind of Christ, and also believe that the fervent prayer of the righteous, you and I, is powerful and effective.
For this purpose was the Son of God manifest; to destroy the works of the evil one. And we are the called-out ones to whom are given the keys of the Kingdom. And the Presence of the Holy One is found in us.
God’s eternal flame, the awesome work of God. He will make us flawless to call upon His Name.
“He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9
“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1John 4:4
“Call upon Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you know not.” Jeremiah 33:3
“I will stand upon the ramparts and see what He will say to me, and how I shall answer, when I am reproved.” Habakkuk 2:11
“As for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of The LORD, and with justice and might.” Micah 3:8
