Oppression
Study, to show thyself approved unto God . . rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
There are many things that we must be healed of. One learns much of this by focusing on the “gifts” of healing; doing true research on the word healing.
What were people healed of in the ministry of Christ? He even healed crazy people; lunatics and those who had their demons cast out. Untold damage is done to the body, mind and spirit when folks have had such things controlling their very lives.
Oppression = to afflict or torment, to lie heavily on your mind, to keep down by severe and unjust force, to cause to feel worried or depressed, to overwhelm or crush.
Oppression, is not possession; it’s not the same thing at all.
The Word says that Jesus went about “healing all that were oppressed of the devil.”
Some of us wonder, just how much depth we might have missed in the ways of God, and how His Spirit operates.
What could we have understood if we had studied the Word for ourselves? Saints, also rightly dividing the word of truth.
Perhaps we haven’t absorbed fully, the oppression that the Apostles went through. I thank God for Paul’s honesty. He said that there was a time when they had more trouble than they could deal with.
The apostles were not people who did not have faults, or even weaknesses; they were human men.
They let us know, that there were times when they just couldn’t take anymore. They all had feelings; they got hurt, they got angry and felt alone.
It says, “they were pressed out of measure.” They almost lost hope. Things were really bad.
The Scripture says they despaired even of life….. What kept them going, was that they had the death of Christ in them.
I heard something by another minister on Facebook which I’d like to share.
When a certain person or group has pushed you, and pressed on you, there may be more to that than you might think.
An evil spirit may have gotten behind that person, and is using them to afflict you and torment you.
We often pray for and against them, but it doesn’t do any good. I agree, that we must rebuke and bind that nasty evil spirit, that is working behind them.
Many people doing great harm to others, are merely pawns. The enemy is using them to try and rob us of our faith, and even our salvation.
Do we realize, that it’s okay to tell God, you can’t take anymore?
It totally depends on what kind of relationship we have with Him. Is He truly our friend, our constant companion. Studying King David actually changed my life and my way of thinking — as he was honest with God. He said, ‘Hurry up! I’m going down here! I’m sinking in the mud!’
The enemy and his crowd can use other people and other things, to push you, press on you until your heart and mind are actually fractured.
God allows it. We have to be truthful about it.
He allows suffering, heartache, sickness to come upon His people.
God allowed Job to go through what he went through. It is to help us grow, to help clean the rubbish out of us, to teach us to trust Him more.
We can’t deny some of God’s ways. It will make us a stronger person, if we can survive it.
LORD forgive me if I say it wrong, but I am speaking from my own experience.
If God has spoken something to you, you can trust that He will do it. It’s all about His timing.
I’ve sometimes said, “God you have to do this.” How do I know? Because He said He would!
If we give Him all we have, desire to follow His Spirit, do the best we possibly can, with all our heart, there are things we are right to expect.
He will not let us be oppressed forever; it’s not to destroy us. Job, had to be healed too.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him,” Acts 10:38.
