Oh What A Loving Father
A psalm to praise and sing to God, out loud.
Oh What A Loving Father!
He is like a father to us,
Tender and sympathetic to
Those who reverence Him
For He knows we are but dust
And that our days are few and brief
Like grass, like flowers
Blown by the wind
And gone forever
Oh what a loving Father
Oh what a caring Father
How much more we are to Him
Than many sparrows flying in the wind
Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a mighty Father
How much more we are to Him
That He sacrificed His only Son so that we may live!
He is like a father to us
Compassionate and gracious
Slow to anger and abounding in love
He does not treat us as our sins deserve
Or repay us according to our iniquities
He holds open His Arms
Awaiting for our return
To change our sorrow into joy
Oh what a loving Father
Oh what a caring Father
How much more we are to Him
Than many sparrows flying in the wind
Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a mighty Father
How much more we are to Him
That He sacrificed His only Son so that we may live!
For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear,
The promise of our Father:
“If My People, who are called by My Name,
Shall humble themselves, and pray
And seek My Face,
And turn from their wicked ways;
Then I will hear from heaven,
And will forgive their sin,
And will heal their land.”
Oh what a loving Father
Oh what a caring Father
How much more we are to Him
Than many sparrows flying in the wind
Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a mighty Father
How much more we are to Him
That He sacrificed His only Son so that we may live!
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His Love for those who fear Him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Oh LORD, let us walk in Your Ways
Oh LORD, let us obey You always!
For You are a most excellent Father
And, as we abide in You, we prosper!
Oh what a loving Father
Oh what a caring Father
How much more we are to Him
Than many sparrows flying in the wind
Oh what a wonderful Father
Oh what a mighty Father
How much more we are to Him
That He sacrificed His only Son so that we may live!
Oh what a loving Father!
Oh what a caring Father!
Oh what a wonderful Father!
Oh what a mighty Father!
Let us humble ourselves and rest in Him
Praise The LORD, all His Works
Everywhere in His Dominion
His Loving never ends!
Oh what a loving Father!
Praise The LORD, my soul!
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.” Psalm 103:8-16
“Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.” Psalm 103:22
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10: 29-31

Gabrielle Fuehrer came to The LORD in Spring 2020 and soon began receiving inspiration from The Holy Spirit in the form of Poems (Psalms), meant to praise, glorify and worship our Lord Jesus Christ and uplift the Body of Christ. A preschool teacher, surrounded by the blessings and love of the little ones she teaches, Gabrielle also runs the website, “Imagine a Love Like That“.
“Let everything that has breath praise The LORD.” Psalm 150:6.
Gabrielle, We should pause and reflect that as you reminded us, “How much more we are to Him
Than many sparrows flying in the wind” and yet not one falls to the ground, he doesn’t notice and care about. He is a Father who is Love whose LOVE can change a heart in the twinkling of an eye. God bless you richly, Sandi
Dear Sandi thank you so much for the insightful and timely comment about The LORD’s Love. It is so true. This week and last I have been going through some tumultuous changes in my heart and this morning I realized The LORD has been working on me to expand my love by showing me His Love. I realized yesterday how things in my heart that were stumbling blocks are suddenly not there and have been replaced with peace and calm. His Love works best when we call on Him for help and allow Him to work in us.
Many blessings to you. Gabrielle
