Obey the Promptings and Disciplines of The Holy Spirit
We will need to Obey the Promptings and Disciplines of The Holy Spirit to be able to Carry the Weighty Anointing which we will Walk in, in This Season
“Don’t you know that in a race all the runners compete, but only one wins the prize? So then, run to win! Now every athlete in training submits himself to strict discipline, and he does it just to win a laurel wreath that will soon wither away. But we do it to win a crown that will last forever. Accordingly, I don’t run aimlessly but straight for the finish line; I don’t shadow-box but try to make every punch count. I treat my body hard and make it my slave so that, after proclaiming the Good News to others, I myself will not be disqualified” 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.
The Lord has been speaking to me about the above scripture, saying that many whom He has been dealing with about disciplining themselves in things, have not been obedient in this.
He is showing me that it could be many different things for many people, but He has been prompting especially in the area of getting fit in our bodies. He showed me something while preaching in Pennsylvania last week, that the anointing in this season was going to have to be so weighty so as to break through some of the things that are happening in this season, which, if we do not discipline our bodies, will break us down under the weight of it.
This is what Paul was talking about here. I do not believe that He was talking here about missing heaven. I believe the Lord showed me that He was speaking of being disqualified to do what He has called us to do, if He did not make his body come in line with what the Spirit’s promptings were.
We can get all bent out of shape and say, “Well, I believe that I can do anything I want and grace will cover me” and yes, it will but… grace is an empowerment to do what you are called to do and allow for mistakes.
In this season you can do whatever you like and you have the liberty, but God is calling us to a higher standard. If you, for example, are a Prophet and do not have discipline as to what is going into your thought life, your prophetic words may be mixed with some bad seed which you have been meditating on, instead of God’s word and the good things of God..
If you are about to go into a heavy schedule for the Lord and He has been prompting you to get more rest and eat better and you are disobedient, then when you go out, you may not be able to do all that which you are called upon to do in this season. The Holy Spirit has disciplines which He prompts each of us to do, and what I need to do for my calling, may not be what you need to do. So there should be no judging one another in this area. The disciplines are tailor-made for each of us, according to our destinies.
I cannot watch certain things on TV that others may be able to watch, such as horror movies, because they will get mixed into what I am seeing as a seer prophet, if I feed myself with that all of the time. Early in my walk, God dealt with me about certain TV programs. The difference between walking in the Spirit and being religious here is that, I don’t do it to gain heaven. I do it to be obedient to the Lord, so that I will be fit to walk in all that which He has called me to.
God deals with me a lot about my rest, and I struggle in that area. So in this area of rest, God wants me to be strengthened, so that I will stay rested for what He is doing in my life. I know many are saying amen to that about right now!
Anyway, I just needed to get this out, because I believe that this is what He is saying to many. He wants you be fit for the season which is upon us. He is telling you to stop this, or do that, and He does not want you disqualified right now, because the Kingdom needs you. Your obedience could be the difference of either you finishing your race well, or not, and also whether you will reach those whom God has called you to reach.
If we are to actually walk in the Spirit, then we have to believe His word and yes, this is New Testament stuff… Just saying……
“What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other, so that you find yourselves unable to carry out your good intentions. But if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not in subjection to the system that results from perverting the Torah into legalism.
And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency; involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.
Moreover, those who belong to the Messiah Yeshua have put their old nature to death on the stake, along with its passions and desires. Since it is through the Spirit that we have Life, let it also be through the Spirit that we order our lives day by day” Galatians 5:16-24 (CJB).
“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship” Romans 12:1 (AMP).
“Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (AMP).

Thank you so much for this on-time word! God has truly been dealing with me in this area, and this is confirmation of what I hear him saying. Glory to God! Thank you again!
