NOW Is Pentecost On GOD’s Calendar! — Let Us Tarry…
Pentecost 2024, based on Biblical scheduling, is on 12 June 2024. It starts from the previous evening. (As I wrote previously, Biblical Feasts and Days are observed from evening to evening).
The celebration of Pentecost last month was not Biblically scheduled.
Who could have done such a thing? Only a church that jettisoned its Jewish/ Biblical roots. Our GOD JESUS CHRIST is The God of Israel, THE LORD GOD of the Hebrews.
In a dream I had in 2019, it was stated: “God has not put in His Word the birthday of His Son but people claim to celebrate the birthday of Christ on 25th December.”
“The Church does not celebrate The Feasts of THE LORD. Even the one they celebrate [Passover, wrongly named as “Easter”] is increasingly on the wrong date. God is removing it [Easter] from His Calendar!”
“Easter” is not a Biblical Word; it was wrongly put in the King James Bible version by the translators instead of “Passover”. It is believed to be derived from the name of “eostre”, a demon god worshiped in England before The Gospel came there.
Brent Landau, a lecturer in Religious Studies at the The University of Texas at Austin College of Liberal Arts wrote that:
“The naming of the celebration as “Easter” seems to go back to the name of a pre-Christian goddess in England, Eostre, who was celebrated at beginning of spring. The only reference to this goddess comes from the writings of the Venerable Bede, a British monk who lived in the late seventh and early eighth century. As religious studies scholar Bruce Forbes summarizes:
“Bede wrote that the month in which English Christians were celebrating the resurrection of Jesus had been called Eosturmonath in Old English, referring to a goddess named Eostre. And even though Christians had begun affirming the Christian meaning of the celebration, they continued to use the name of the goddess to designate the season.”
Bede was so influential for later Christians that the name stuck, and hence Easter remains the name by which the English, Germans and Americans refer to the festival of Jesus’ resurrection.
[…]
Some early Christians chose to celebrate the resurrection of Christ on the same date as the Jewish Passover, which fell around day 14 of the month of Nisan, in March or April. These Christians were known as Quartodecimans (the name means “Fourteeners”).
By choosing this date, they put the focus on when Jesus died and also emphasized continuity with the Judaism out of which Christianity emerged. Some others instead preferred to hold the festival on a Sunday, since that was when Jesus’ tomb was believed to have been found.
In A.D. 325, the Emperor Constantine, who favored Christianity, convened a meeting of Christian leaders to resolve important disputes at the Council of Nicaea. The most fateful of its decisions was about the status of Christ, whom the council recognized as “fully human and fully divine.” This council also resolved that Easter should be fixed on a Sunday, not on day 14 of Nisan. As a result, Easter is now celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon of the vernal equinox.”
Some of the foregoing is corroborated by a very informed reader comment I found during my research some weeks ago.
It was posted on the website of The Guardian (a British newspaper) under the title “who decides on what date does easter fall on.”
“The date of Easter is determined from astronomical phenomena, using a system that was decided by the early Christian Church, after much wrangling. The problems arose from the fact that the Christians followed the Roman calendar, which is based on the solar year, but Easter is intimately connected with the Jewish festival of Passover (the Last Supper was in fact a Passover Seder)and the Jewish calendar is based in the lunar month. The Seder happens on the fourteenth night of the moon of Nisan, and can fall on any day of the week, but it so happened that in the year of the Crucifixion it fell just before a Sabbath, and while some early Christians followed the Jewish calendar and celebrated Easter on the fourteenth of Nisan whatever day it fell on, others felt that it should be celebrated on the nearest Sabbath (whichever day they were using as the Sabbath, which is another story). The former (Quartodecimans) were eventually declared heretical and the Council of Nicea in 325 standardised Easter Sunday as the first Sunday after the first fourteenth-of-the-moon after the vernal equinox. However even this did not immediately produce standard practice as there were differences of interpretation (e.g. over whether you count a fourteenth that falls exactly on the equinox, or wait for the next one) and different communities of Christians were reluctant to abandon their local traditions. In the British Isles, the Welsh and Irish churches stuck for a long time to their own tradition, which predated the English invasions, and this caused problems when the English kingdoms were evangelised both from Iona (Irish Easter) in the North and Canterbury (Roman Easter) in the south. Matters came to a head in Northumbria in the 660s, when the King was observing Easter at a different time from his Kentish wife, and after the Synod of Whitby in 664 the English kingdoms followed the Roman Easter, though the Celtic Chruch continued in their own tradition for somewhat longer. The Catholic Encyclopedia and the Venerable Bede’s “Ecclesiastical History of the English People”, both available online (see Google) give much, much more detail…

So, these are some of the reasons why Passover and Pentecost by The Church in some years (like 2024) fall on dates different from the Jewish/Biblical dates.
Anyhow, let us surely seek THE HOLY SPIRIT this coming BIBLICALLY scheduled Pentecost from the evening of 11 June 2024 to the evening of 12 June 2024.
Let us continue to pray for The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT according to Acts 2,
”And it shall come to pass in the last days, says GOD, That I will pour out of MY SPIRIT on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out MY SPIRIT in those days; And they shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of The Great and Awesome Day of THE LORD. And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on THE NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved.” Acts 2:17-21.
I had a dream last month in which THE HOLY SPIRIT instructed me to rewatch a Kenneth E. Hagin classic I watched about ten years ago: “When The Spirit Gets To Moving”.
It’s an express instruction on how church services should be done: Allow THE HOLY SPIRIT to move as He wills.
Pastors should stop programming and scheduling when and how GOD should move in His Church. When THE SPIRIT is moving, let Him flow as He wills.
Do not quench THE SPIRIT. Do not grieve THE HOLY SPIRIT with your programme schedules. (1 Thessalonians 5:19; Ephesians 4:30).
Please watch Kenneth E. Hagin’s: “When The Spirit Gets To Moving”:
Pentecost is all about THE HOLY SPIRIT. Give Him all your attention, and He will give you all He has for you.
Doing as the occasion demands, I share an adapted version of my Feast Word on Pentecost again below.
Pentecost is one of the seven Feasts of THE LORD which we are to celebrate at their appointed times, (Leviticus 23).
The Feasts of THE LORD celebrate now: The Sacrifice, Resurrection, Giving of THE SPIRIT, Second Coming, Thousand-year Reign and Eternal Dwelling with man of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
We will also celebrate them in The Age To Come.
The Feast of Weeks (The Day of Pentecost)
- This Feast, called Pentecost in The New Testament, celebrates The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT;
- Under The New Covenant, It is celebrated by tarrying in fervent prayers before THE LORD for THE HOLY SPIRIT and Power;
- It is celebrated fifty days from The Feast of Firstfruits.
Pentecost Celebration Actions
- Tarry before THE LORD, fasting and praying for The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT on you to receive Power;
- Worship and praise THE LORD for His HOLY SPIRIT;
- Surely seek THE HOLY SPIRIT, and ask for boldness, Great Power, Great Grace, Great Authority, Great Faith, Great Glory, Great Light, Great Fire, Great Mercies, Great Peace, Great Joy, Great Love, to finish your race and GOD’s Purpose for your life;
- Tell THE HOLY SPIRIT to come into your midst, your life and do as He pleases;
- Ensure to be in one accord — NO division, contention, strife or any such things;
- On The Day of Pentecost, have a holy assembly as a family, a Church or even as an individual, with no customary work on It;
- Preach JESUS and His Salvation to whoever He leads you to.
This Feast of THE LORD is called The Day of Pentecost in The New Testament.
( Pentecost means 50 — because this Feast is celebrated 50 days from The Feast of Firstfruits, which is Resurrection Day. )
JESUS fulfilled this Feast when He poured out THE HOLY SPIRIT on The Church in Acts 2.
THE SPIRIT and POWER of GOD were most dramatically received and experienced just as THE LORD JESUS promised in Luke 24:49 and Acts 1:5,8.
How to Celebrate The Day of Pentecost
Under The New Covenant, we see that after The Ascension of our LORD JESUS CHRIST to Heaven, as He had instructed, this Feast was celebrated in a Spiritual way: in waiting on THE LORD and praying for The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Before He ascended to Heaven, He had announced and commanded:
“Behold, I send The Promise of My FATHER upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with Power from on high.” Luke 24:49.
And from that very day, immediately after JESUS was taken from them into Heaven, about one hundred and twenty disciples waited and prayed with one accord over the next ten days in the upper room.
And just as THE LORD had promised, THE HOLY SPIRIT was poured out on them.
“When The Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of A Rushing Mighty Wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them Divided Tongues, as of Fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT and began to speak with Other Tongues, as THE SPIRIT gave them Utterance.” Acts 2:1-4.
In like manner, as THE LORD has promised us in these final hours of the last days, during this Feast we must separate ourselves, wait on THE LORD and pray for The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT on us.
Of course, one can wait on THE LORD, fast and pray at any time for The Supply of THE HOLY SPIRIT as led by Him. But, the point here is that, THE LORD has chosen this Feast as a set time for ALL His children to wait, fast and pray for The Outpouring of His HOLY SPIRIT on us.
When THE HOLY SPIRIT was poured out on The Day of Pentecost, the very first recipients had been in Holy lock-down in Jerusalem for The Promise of THE FATHER as instructed by THE LORD JESUS.
For the first time since then, The Church worldwide experienced lock-down during the covid period in upper rooms (our houses) going into the final, GREATER and global Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT. These are extraordinary times on GOD’s Calendar, as the earth is being filled with The Knowledge of The Glory of GOD just as Habakkuk prophesied, (Habakkuk 2:14).
As Spiritual people, we must always be quick to discern the times and the timing of GOD and plug into His Motives and Moves, so as to receive His Promises.
Now, having seen THE LORD JESUS taken up from them into Heaven, the disciples, with great joy, returned to Jerusalem where He had commanded them to wait and receive The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT.
And for about ten days, both in The Temple and The Upper Room (where they had been staying), they were continually praising and blessing GOD, and all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication for THE HOLY SPIRIT and Power. (Luke 24:52-53; Acts 1:14).
These things were “written for our learning” (Romans 15:4), that, for ten days leading up to The Day of Pentecost, we gather as a Church family or a home family or even as individuals, we are continually praising and blessing GOD, and continue with one accord in prayer and supplication for THE HOLY SPIRIT and Power.
As THE LORD lives, I assure you, brethren, lives, houses (individuals, families, congregations) ripe and ready in THE SPIRIT, yes, houses cleansed, clean and expectant will be filled with THE HOLY SPIRIT during Pentecost, “in demonstration of THE SPIRIT and of POWER”, “in mighty signs and wonders, by The Power of SPIRIT OF GOD” (1 Corinthians 2:4; Romans 15:19).
Hallelu-YAH!
On The Day of Pentecost, when THE HOLY SPIRIT was poured out at the first, Peter told people from all over the world gathered there, that what was happening was what the prophet Joel said will happen.
Brethren, what Peter said in Acts 2:17-21 will now start happening FULL-SCALE, and WE will tell the world all over the world, starting from Jerusalem (the place GOD has placed/ will place you for His Purpose).
And remember The Words of THE LORD JESUS, that He said:
“Behold, I send the Promise of My FATHER upon you; BUT TARRY in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with Power from on high.” Luke 24:49.
The Word is certain and settled. To receive from on high, we must “tarry in… Jerusalem“.
“Jerusalem” is any place GOD has appointed and commanded you to be for a period of time determined by Him.
Jerusalem is the place GOD has put you for His Purpose. Jerusalem is wherever GOD puts you whenever for whatever He has purposed.
Jerusalem is “our preappointed times and the boundaries of [our] dwellings“ which GOD has determined, (Acts 17:26).
If you don’t wait in your Jerusalem in the time determined by GOD, you will miss GOD. Remember Esau? He missed GOD and The Blessing He had for him.
But Jacob discerned such a place and said: “This is GOD’s Camp.” And, wisely, he remained there, and was blessed exceedingly there, having “seen GOD face to Face,” (see Genesis 32:1-30).
Paul stopped over in Ephesus on his way for a major, extensive missionary work in Corinth. But, being diligent to discern The Plan of GOD, he turned his stopover into a ‘stayover’, saying,
“…. I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great and effective door has opened to me,” 1 Corinthians 16:8-9.
And guess what? He remained there for at least two years!
Note that, that THE HOLY SPIRIT-led decision of Paul to “tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost” brought about the mighty works of GOD such as when,
“… GOD worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them,” Acts 19:11-12.
Such as when he and the disciples were,
“… reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus. And this continued for two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard The Word of THE LORD JESUS, both Jews and Greeks,” Acts 19:9b-10.
Such as when,
“… many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver.” Acts 19:19.
Yes, it was there in Ephesus that, “The Word of THE LORD grew mightily and prevailed.” (Acts 19:20).
“I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost”: Pentecost signifies the promised, the expected, and the coming Move of THE HOLY SPIRIT, (Acts 2:1-4; 1:14). And ours is the final and greatest Move of GOD on earth ever, forever!
To “tarry… until Pentecost” is to seek and stay in The Presence of THE HOLY SPIRIT daily in The Word, in prayer, in worship, in praise, in His Direction, (Acts 1:14; 2:1-4; 4:31; 13:1-4; 16:6-10; 19:9-12).
THE LORD says:
“Behold I send The Promise of My FATHER upon you; BUT TARRY in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with Power from on high.” Luke 24:49.
When GOD says it, the believer must be diligent to do it, readily quickly.
Our GREAT GOD and Saviour JESUS CHRIST said: “TARRY… until you are endued with Power from on high [on The Day of Pentecost].”
And recognising The Move of THE HOLY SPIRIT where he was, Paul responded: “I will TARRY… until Pentecost“.
Therefore, from the foregoing, let us “TARRY until Pentecost”.
Yes, let’s fast and pray until Pentecost.
Let us be continually praising and blessing GOD, and continue with one accord in prayer and supplication for THE HOLY SPIRIT and Power as Peter and the other brethren did.
When they waited, prayed and received POWER, they ministered POWERFULLY!
Let’s do it for THE FATHER OF GLORY to pour out His Glory on us worldwide.
Therefore, please tell your Church members, tell your household, tell The Household of GOD worldwide that we need to “tarry until Pentecost”.
As THE LORD JESUS commanded, we must not depart from our ‘Jerusalem’ (the place of fervent prayer and expectation), but to wait for the Promise of THE FATHER, for we “shall be baptised with THE HOLY SPIRIT not many days from now,“ (Acts 1:4-5). Hallelu-YAH! Glory to GOD!
As I said on previous occasions, THE LORD had thousands of followers (he fed thousands at some of His Meetings), but only about a hundred and twenty disciples were in The Upper Room, who “all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication” waiting for Pentecost (The Outpouring of THE HOLY SPIRIT).
Indeed, when The Day of Pentecost had fully come, only those TARRYING in The Upper Room received and experienced The Promise of THE FATHER, (Acts 1:14; 2:1-4).
Brethren, let us wait with one accord in prayer and fasting for The Promise of THE FATHER on The Day of Pentecost.
An Offering requirement is commanded for this Feast also:
“Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats as a sin offering, and two male lambs of the first year as a sacrifice of a peace offering.” Leviticus 23:19.
We must at every opportunity, proclaim our LORD JESUS CHRIST as The Perfect Sacrifice to GOD for our sins – “The Offering of the Body of JESUS CHRIST once for all.” (Hebrews 10:10).
JESUS is The Sacrifice of our Sin Offering and our Peace Offering to GOD forever.
Therefore, to “sacrifice a sin offering” and “a sacrifice of a peace offering” as commanded for this Feast, pray and present “CHRIST…an Offering and a Sacrifice to GOD for a sweet-smelling aroma.” Joyfully pray and present THE LAMB Who was slain “an acceptable Sacrifice well-pleasing to GOD.” (Ephesians 5:2; Philippians 4:18).
According to Leviticus 23:21, “you shall proclaim on the same Day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a Statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.”
Therefore, have a holy assembly as a family, a Church or even as an individual, with no customary work on The Day of Pentecost.
Furthermore, on The Day of Pentecost, Peter, standing with the eleven, preached The Gospel to unbelievers. And about three thousand were added to The Church.
Therefore, as led by THE HOLY SPIRIT, you can also organise an evangelism outreach on The Day of Pentecost to save the perishing.
“This is The Word of THE LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My SPIRIT Says THE LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6.
May THE HOLY SPIRIT give us Utterance in prayer and praise as He gave the disciples on The Day of Pentecost.

Jacob, an apostle of JESUS CHRIST by The Will of GOD, according to The Promise of Life Which is in CHRIST JESUS, (2 Timothy 1:1).
Like John, I like to put my head to The Heart of JESUS so as to know and do His Will always. What’s in His Heart is what matters now and FOREVER. His Heart’s Desire is my only desire. My will is to do His Will.
As John was, I am the disciple whom JESUS loves. And like Paul, I am “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS” (Ephesians 3:1) for His Purpose forever: to obey Him always.
NB. Surely, the disciple whom JESUS loves and “the prisoner of CHRIST JESUS”, like ALL The Promises of GOD, are available to every believer to obtain, just as John and Paul did.
“And having been perfected, He [JESUS] became The Author of Eternal Salvation to all who obey Him,” Hebrews 5:9.

Amen!
