Now is Not the Moment to Stop!
Here is a ‘today’ Word for you.
My precious wife has often cited this as one of her favourite verses in Scripture, so I have heard it before.
Yet this latest time she read it out to me, it struck a vibrant chord that echoed through my mind for hours.
“On that day they will say to Jerusalem, ‘Do not fear, Zion; do not let your hands hang limp. The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in hHs love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.’ “ Zephaniah 3:16-17 NIVUK
This is what I heard The LORD saying to me. “Say to the Churches: Now is not the moment to slow down or even stop our work for God’s Kingdom.
Now is not the moment to lose heart.
Now is not the moment to give the enemy of your soul the place he desires.
Now is the moment for all slack and limp hands to once more seize whatever weapons and tools are at your disposal and push through whatever you face in order to once more see God’s light shining in this land.
The LORD our God is with you. He alone is He who saves and He is a mighty, invincible warrior.
He is the Lion of Judah, and when He roars, the earth will tremble and men will shake with fear at the sound of His Voice.
But you, My People, will not be afraid.
You, My People, will find a new heart, a courageous heart that will overcome every wile of the enemy.
And I, The LORD your God, will sing over you and rejoice over you because you have overcome.
I will not rebuke you nor punish you. Rather my singing shall be heard by you and you will be encouraged to press in further and further.
And you shall join me singing songs of victory as you overcome the powers of this world.”
Be encouraged Church, The LORD is waiting to sing songs of joy and victory over you as you overcome this world!
Postscript
“Remnant People do not select the Churches they join based on donuts and coffee being available, ministry programs, the driving distance and how many friends attend.
Their biggest concern is how much fire is in the prayer life of the Church.
They actually want fiery preaching including things that will convict them of sin.
They understand that one day in his presence is better than a thousand elsewhere.
They will lay it all down to be in his Glory! Convenience will never override their hunger!”
