Something for you to think about, study and Know that will bring much Assurance and Hope!

“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24.

DID YOU KNOW that IF you are Born Again of the Spirit and one who has received Jesus Christ as Savior, that you are no longer only ONE MAN but that you are now TWO?

It is very true for the Scriptures talk about there being TWO MEN LIVING IN ONE BODY in Ephesians 4:23-24 it says there is an OLD MAN WHO IS YOUR BODY…. and then again there is a NEW MAN IN THE SPIRIT.

The Scriptures tell us that now that we are Born of the Spirit, we are to PUT OFF the Old Man, then it says, to PUT ON the New Man.

Fact is, one who is Born of the Spirit has to “consciously and knowingly” ALLOW THE NEW MAN TO OVERRIDE THE OLD MAN. This then does become a very real Battle for all who are saved.

If a Believer does let the Old Man rise up over the New Man, and sin, then the Apostle Paul taught that that man would be considered CARNAL.

To be carnal was to be EARTHLY MINDED AND STRICTLY SPEAKING “NON- SPIRITUAL AND SINFUL”.

If a person is SPIRITUAL their spirituality is contrasted with the CARNAL NATURE.

In Romans 8 the Scriptures speak of TWO; the Spiritual and the Carnal.

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Romans 8:11-13.

Evidently by this teaching we understand that the man who allows the OLD MAN to rise up and live by the impulse of that old man, then that man will die. If a person who is Saved and Born of the Spirit allows the old man to rise up, he will be living in sin [which the old man was totally, Earthly and Sinful].

IF the Born again person sins in his body we know that the wages of Sin is Death.

If a Believer then sins, sooner or later that person COULD DIE or his FLESH BODY WILL DIE. *NOTE: “FLESH BODY”.

Many Believers who allow the Old Man to yet live after he was put to death by Jesus’ work of resurrection from the Dead for sinners, will die physically. Sin brings Death.

Many Believers who are genuinely saved have then died “Early Deaths before their time”, because they sinned. This is Physical Death of their Bodies.

BUT GOD has given unto all who Believe A NEW MAN WHO WILL LIVE FOREVER [he will live forever even as Jesus Christ lives forever].

This is the Eternal life God has promised all who believe.

Those who HAVE THE SPIRIT AND ARE A NEW MAN WILL LIVE FOREVER BECAUSE JESUS LIVES FOREVER.

The Fact is, the Scriptures tell us that ANYONE WHO HAS [possesses and invites Jesus to come] ETERNAL LIFE BECAUSE JESUS ……. IS ETERNAL LIFE.

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:11-12.

The real issue then is that there are two living in one body. The old man and the new man.

The new man will live forever! Note that! Forever. The new man will live forever!

But.. if the new man allows the old man to yet live, that old man will eventually die [cease to live on this Earth but will go to the ground to be buried]. Physical Death.

GO NOW and read what the Apostle Paul said about this subject of two living in one person.

See THE BATTLE between the Old and the New, and understand there is a very real battle being fought right now in all who believe and are saved.

“For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after THE INNER MAN: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Romans 7:14-25.

LORD, I pray that men may understand the real Battle that is going on in them between the Old Man and the New Man, and when they understand they will rise up in Victory that is ONLY IN YOU.
