Not everybody is going to like you
If you begin to move according to the direction of My Spirit you are sure to upset somebody’s flesh because, “they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. [8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please Me,” Romans 8:5,8. No matter how hard you try you cannot get these two people to walk together, because “those with a carnal mind are enemies of Mine: because their mind is not subject to Me, nor will it ever be,” Romans 8:7.
You are going to have to face facts, there is going to be a separation, and in some cases it’s going to get ugly.
Don’t think that I came to send peace to the carnal minded people: I did not come to send peace, but a sword, to divide between flesh and Spirit people. [35] For I am come to set a man at variance against his father’s fleshly desires, and the daughter against her mother’s fleshly desires, and the daughter in law against her mother in law’s fleshly desires. [36] In many cases a man’s foes will be those of his own household,” Matthew 10:34-36.
If you think everybody is going to congratulate you for following My leading, you are in for a rude awakening. When it really gets rough, “brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. [22] And if you walk in the Spirit you will end up being hated of all men, for My name’s sake: but if you don’t give up and endure all the way to the end you will be saved,” Matthew 10:21-22.
