No Longer the “Set Man”?
Pastor…
What would happen if you were no longer the “set man”, but if you allowed the Holy Spirit to have the place of leading?
What would happen if the meetings no longer revolved around you, and if you were no longer the central figure around which every meeting convened?
What would happen if you offered yourself as a vehicle for the Holy Spirit to equip others to grow into becoming ‘leaders’ also?
What if you willingly relinquished your position as the leader to allow the focus to fully fall on the Holy Spirit and allow Him to use you to raise up an authentic church fully equipped to be able to go out and fulfill God’s heart and destiny in the lives of others?
What if “church” was more than about getting together to hear you speak and lead services?
What if you led people to gather around and to focus on Jesus only, to learn to hear Him speak to them individually and to learn to yield and to flow with His Spirit as He led the meetings?
What if the whole ‘control’ thing disappeared and everyone just came together as being one in the LORD, and if you allowed God to use you in such a capacity, where the imparted Gifts of the Spirit could flow and operate as He willed to make room for you and your ministry, rather than people simply having to accept you as being the “leader”, and rather than your title or ‘rights’ giving you the ‘authority’ to speak “over” them as being in a position of hierarchy?
What if you would relinquish the whole religious order and system of how things are done, and simply would begin to gather informally, allowing Jesus to have His way and to lead as He willed and as the Spirit directed?
What if you allowed Him to speak in the moment, rather than preparing your own ‘sermons’?
What would happen if you would humble yourself to become servant rather than “leader”?
Jesus would happen ! ! !
