Nineveh — What About the Future of This World and Israel?

Nineveh
“Now the Word of The LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of The LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent. And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out: “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
The People of Nineveh Believed God
“So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them. Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes.
And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying: Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water. But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands. For………….
Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?
Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it,” Jonah 3 NKJV.
What Saved Nineveh?
It was the announcement and preaching of God’s impending judgement that was believed by the then current ruler(the King) and his people that saved the city of Nineveh!
For many believers it is a too radical message to announce the fact that God has a time of revenge for the sins of the citizens of this earth.
However sadly the walking away from this for many believers too harsh message will produce the very thing God in His unfathomable mercy is willing to extend to us at this very late hour in the worlds history, namely:
A change or at least a delay of His announced judgement on our nations!
Here are some of the applicable Bible verses:
A Call to Repentance
“Now, therefore,” says The LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to The LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm. For…….
Who knows if He will turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him,” Joel 2:3 NKJV emphasis added.
‘”Therefore do not fear, O My servant Jacob,’ says The LORD, ‘Nor be dismayed, O Israel; for behold, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return, have rest and be quiet, and no one shall make him afraid. For I am with you,’ says The LORD, ‘to save you; though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, Yet I will not make a complete end of you.
But I will correct you in justice, and will not let you go altogether unpunished,’” Jeremiah 30:10-11 NKJV emphasis added.
Judgment on the Nations
“Come near, you nations, to hear; and heed, you people! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world and all things that come forth from it.
For the indignation of The LORD is against all nations, and His fury against all their armies; He has utterly destroyed them, He has given them over to the slaughter,” Isaiah 34:1-2 NKJV.
“For it is the day of The LORD’s vengeance. The year of recompense for the cause of Zion,” Isaiah 34:8 NKJV emphasis added.
What Then About World Revival?
The scriptures do not teach a world revival for the end-times, but a great falling away — just as happened in relation to Jesus’ Ministry at the end of His life. Many followed Him no longer!
Neither do the scriptures teach an easy escape for the church, as is preached by many today.
But when darkness will increasingly engulf the nations – as we can see happening today – His light and Spirit will come to Israel!
The Bible speaks of the FORMER AND THE LATTER RAIN, which finally will be falling on all of Israel – but not on the nations – even though God in His great mercy may still give here and there a special outpouring of His grace and mercy.
Israel is the Focus in the End-time
For it is the day of The LORD’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion
The focus point during the end-times will be Israel and God’s dealings with His people! We find wonderful scriptures proving this in Isaiah 60:1-16, 19-22,
“Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of The LORD is risen upon you.“For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but The LORD will arise over you (Israel) and His glory will be seen upon you……
The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in My Wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you.
For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly ruined.
Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you, and all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you The City of The LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations.
You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, and milk the breast of kings; you shall know that I, The LORD, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. and……
The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; but The LORD will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory.
Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon withdraw itself; for The LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
Also your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.”
In the line up of the ever increasing birth pangs signifying the soon coming judgements of God on the nations, Jesus tells In Matthew 24:
“And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. A nd there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who ‘endures’ to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come,” Matthew 24:4-13 NKJV emphasis added.
Dear Friends,
However many today are focused too much on the present pandemic of the Corona pestilence and all the Globalist and sinister forces behind it — according to our LORD this is ONLY the beginning of the sorrows that await this world!
In relation to the end-times The LORD’s emphasis is far more on the spiritual than on the physical escape of it all. As The LORD says in Luke:
“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man,” Luke 21:36 emphasis added.
However evil the sinister forces are that are causing the current situation on earth, in the end this is NOT what will bring mankind down.
What really matters is our own spiritual walk with The LORD and the fact that we have to be careful not to be deceived by anyone.
Therefore may The LORD lead you and bless you and guide you according to His will for your life during these definite end-time days and may He keep you watchful in all you do and say.
May He bless you for your faithful support of Israel and this Ministry. May He guide and protect you. may He be with you every day to live for Him!
May you truly seek The LORD, what He wants you to do, also together with us for His beloved Israel.
