“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings,” Jeremiah 17: 9-10.

The LORD allowed a new establishment to come forward because of the sins of Solomon who allowed his wives to take his heart away from God into idolatry!

God did not allow it to come to pass in the days that Solomon ruled but he allowed it when Rehoboam his son reigned!

Many are going to reap what they have sown in this season! And, by the time they would have realized that they have lost their inheritance it will have been too late to recover it again!

For you see, whenever a leader compromise the Word of God, the people lose respect for them because they no longer see them as God’s man or woman, because they have been tainted in the eyes of the people!

Help us Holy Ghost! The people got so mad at Rehoboam for over taxing them and over burdening them, they turned on him!

The people rebelled and said, “Down with David and his family! What have they ever done for us? People of Israel, let’s go home! Let Rehoboam look out for himself!” So the people of Israel rebelled, leaving Rehoboam as king only of the people who lived in the territory of Judah.” (1 Kings‬ ‭12:16-17‬).

Their was a split, all because the leadership refused to listen to the counsel of the old wise men of God, and Rehoboam said, “as the younger men had advised. He said, “My father placed heavy burdens on you; I will make them even heavier. He beat you with a whip; I’ll flog you with a horsewhip!”

But what the people and Rehoboam failed to understand, this was already prophesied to Jeroboam and King Solomon a long time before and his fate was now sealed to be removed from office, all because of sin.

Disobedience and rebellion of causing the people to stray away from Jehovah!

The LORD himself caused the split, division and disunity, all because the man of God allowed sin to enter into his heart and he broke covenant relationship with God!

Not, only did Rehoboam hate Jeroboam, but Solomon tried to kill him as well when he found out that God had rent the kingdom out of his sons hand and would give it to another better than him! For, It was the will of the LORD to bring about what he had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh. This is why the king did not pay any attention to the people.” ‭‭(1 Kings‬ ‭12:14-15‬).

All because they had allowed sin to take over their hearts, leading them away from God!

I don’t care how much purpose and inheritance you may have been born with, when you disobey God and become rebellious their is a price to pay!

And just like Rehoboam and King Solomon, God is going to hold those accountable, those who are not keeping His covenant relationship with Him in this season!

God gave Jeroboam some wise men to help counsel him in the kingdom, but because he wanted to be popular and to stay in the good graces of those he was raised up with, he forsook the council of the wise men and went with the wisdom of those who was not skilled, which costed him the kingdom of Israel and all ten tribes!

Not only that, but God gave them to someone better than he! Someone who would be faithful and that would rule the people the way God wanted, because Rehoboam had failed to do this and instead he had taken two golden calves and shrines and put them up for the people to worship, instead of the true and living God!

He even ordained priests in office who were not even qualified for the priestly office to serve, and he knew that they were not from the tribe of Levi!

Help us Holy Ghost. The LORD is surely speaking today! And, it is time for the body of Christ to wake up as well as the world and to realize that God is in control of everything!

I hear God saying,

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. It is God who judges: He brings one down, he exalts another.” Psalms 75:6-7.
