Spiritualists and Mediums
Spiritualists and mediums were common among the pagan peoples and God warned the children of Israel against becoming involved in these practices just prior to their entry into the Promised Land of Canaan, (Deuteronomy 18:9-12 KJV).
“When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
A Medium is one who practices communication between spirits of the dead and living human beings.
Spiritualism; similar is the belief in the existence of nonphysical beings, or spirits, that inhabit a spirit world and making contact with the spirits, which can include people who have died through seances.
This is said to be achieved by telepathic means, mediation (altered state of mind) and allowing for the “host or spirit” to possess the body of the medium in order that they might speak through them. Practices which were and still are strictly forbidden by the Most High.
“And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people,” Leviticus 20:6 (KJV).
IT KILLED SAUL! King Saul was prideful and rebellious against Elohim which left him clearly rejected. When Elohim turned his back on him and would not speak to him regarding the fate of his battle against the Philistines, he went seeking counsel from a “medium” in his desperation which was the witch at Endor, disguised himself and ordered her to conjure up the Spirit of Samuel
“And the Philistines gathered themselves together, and came and pitched in Shunem: and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they pitched in Gilboa. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee,” 1 Samuel 28:4-8.
It is obvious here that the Spirit which came up was not that of Samuel but rather a familiar spirit conjured up which would them speak what was to become of this King.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten….”
Saints, Jehovah only knows all things, seek HIM, for HE SPEAKS trust HIM, OBEY HIM!

When did astrology and astrologers, tarot card and palm readers operating from their astronomical centers, become so popular in Jamaica?
I’m watching television and every other advertisement is introducing people to come to these Indians for “solution” to their “problems.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t these people doing the same thing as channeling and isn’t this just a modern name for what the Bible calls being a “medium” or “spiritualist”, which Father strongly condemns and warms not to partake of?
“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God,” Leviticus 19:31.
No wonder this nation is in a mess.. shaking my head….
