Never more than a baby
From a kingdom prospective the vast majority of western believers will never advance beyond spiritual babes, unless severe hard times come. As long as your space is more important to you, than caring for others, you are a spiritual infant demanding your own comfort. To share your house, your food, your car and money as a lifestyle, is far different than making yourself feel good by giving someone a ride, or handing them a hundred dollar bill, Acts 4:32,34-35.
You say that material possessions mean nothing and your life has been given over to Me, so why do I see you protecting and holding back these things for you and your family only? Acts 2:44-47 Why do you limit everyone to very small areas of your life. I hear selfish hearts, saying within, “no that’s mine, God would never expect me to share my house with another family, much less with a stranger …” I will remind you, I was the stranger, that you wouldn’t let in your precious house: and I was the naked one standing on your porch, while you called the city mission: sick, and in prison, and you didn’t have time to visit Me, because you said your family came first” Matthew 25:43.
Just the mention of selling all, puts you in a fighting defensive mode. Sure you worked hard for it, and you think it’s yours, but its going to be taken and scattered over the earth, the moment I call you home. The moment your new body is placed around your soul, you will regret everything you did not surrender while on earth. Your furniture has no value in the kingdom, unless it was surrendered to Me for My use, while you possessed it on earth. Everything that you do not claim as your own, and you share with My body on earth, will be transformed into eternal furniture to be enjoyed for billions of years, Luke 18:29-3.
Many of you are so spiritually shortsighted that to see past your front gate and your little bank account is impossible. The stranger outside your gate, is someone else’s problem! You are a hairs breath from crossing over to a land where all physical objects are stripped away, yet your carnal mind is so in charge of your stuff, it is cheating your soul out of 99% of kingdom benefits, that you could enjoy for billions of years! Yes, if you are born again, you will make it into heaven, but only by the skin of your teeth, 1 Corinthians 3:15. The hosts of heaven want to know, why you are willing to suffer such great eternal loss, over a hundred years of greed, lusting for what will shortly turn to ashes.
“The answer is you never really perceived the depth of My love, because I laid down My life for you: and you ought to be laying down your life for the brethren. [17] If you have worldly goods, like a house, land, and food, and see a brother have need, and say, go to a shelter, I worked too hard for what I have! My love does not dwell in you! [18] Stop wagging your tongue with all the love talk, put your love into action and show it in truth.” 1 John 3:16-18.
BOTTOM LINE: Without some form of communal living, western Christian character, will remain at a baby stage. “These sayings will remain, hard to be uttered, seeing they are dull of hearing. [12] For when for the time they ought to be teachers, they have a need that someone teach them all over again, even the first principles of love in My word; they can only handle milk, and not spiritual strong meat. [13] Every one that uses only milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness and unable to live righteously: for he is still a babe,” Hebrews 5:11-13. Heaven is asking the American Christian; are you willing to share your possessions or are your possessions holding you in a baby stage?
