Neither Do I Condemn You!
The LORD brought this excerpt I had written before me again and prompted me to share it for a second time – first time here on His Kingdom Prophecy.
All He said to me was, “Someone needed it!”
So I pray as you read these words you close those ears to your accusers and look at the face of Jesus who is smiling down on you with arms outstretched.
Neither Do I Condemn You!
Can you just picture a moment in the temple court as a woman is thrown before Jesus.
The words of accusation flying all around saying, “She will never change. She will not learn. This is the law that you should abide by!”
Jesus does not answer Satan’s accusations; He knows they will be settled soon enough.
Instead, with perfect calm, He replies that anyone who is without sin can throw the first stone.
You know it takes only one person to release that first stone. Then everyone else will simply follow.
I can see this woman in the dirt flinching with every movement as the snake tongued Pharisees walk away convicted by their own conscience.
There is no one qualified. There is no one who is without sin.No one except the One who is writing in the dust and he refuses to throw that stone at her. He has come to save this woman, not condemn her.
You, too, have heard the voice of the accuser of your soul. This woman was waiting for something more ~ something from Him.
She knows her own weakness. She wants forgiveness, but she needs more. She needs released.
She needs the power to start again. She lifts her head finally to meet His loving gaze for the first time.
In His eyes she sees forgiveness, mercy and love. Jesus asked her, ‘Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?’
“‘No one, sir,’ she replies.
Now someone right now needs to grasp hold of these next words and hold on tight.
“‘Then neither do I condemn you,’ Jesus declared.
Those very words let her rise freed from condemnation and walk with purpose down the very street she had been dragged only moments before.
She encountered a merciful King and because of that encounter, her life was forever changed.
The world told her they would stop condemning her once she stopped sinning.
Jesus promised not to condemn her, so she could stop sinning. The world labeled her a whore, but Jesus called her a woman.
Today a treacherous enemy still drags so many before a Holy God. Even now he throws our shame in the face of the King of Kings.
“What is to be done with these sons and daughters?” the serpent hisses.
“Don’t they have a covenant with You? Why are they so often found entangled in such a mess? How many times will You forgive them and release them from the judgment they deserve?”
Is the voice of the enemy accusing you even now?
Is the religious Pharisees and their clicks coming at you from every side saying, “You have sinned too much, gone too far, stayed too long. God will never forgive you. You deserve whatever punishment you get!”?
The looks of rejection from those who should be showing the love and kindness of God instead of throwing darts of judgment and condemnation.
If this has been your experience, allow these words of Jesus to sink deep into your heart right now as I hear Him gently say:
“I do not hear the serpent tongue of your accusers!
Hear Me My Child for I do not condemn you. Embrace My forgiveness this day.
Then, by the power of my spirit, rise up once again and walk into the light of your new day.”
Jesus came to save, not to throw stones!
