My life is not about me
Love is not safe
Love is not safe. It sometimes lands us on the receiving end of hurt and rejection. True love means trusting someone with enough ammunition to shoot us down while trusting our Father to protect us.
Jesus’ love did not lead him to safety. It led him to a tree where he suffered and died. Yet it is His true and perfect love that set us free. So, while it isn’t always safe, we are called to love without counting the cost.
My life is not about me….
My life is not about me. It’s about my love relationship with Jesus.
He loved me even when I thought I was unlovable. He showed me grace even when I wallowed in self hatred. I don’t keep these things a secret. My hope is that through knowing the places I have been you too will come to experience His deep and abiding love.
My prayer is that it will transform your life as it has mine.
That liar, the devil, wants nothing more than to imprison you in his traps. He wants to see you go to your grave never having known the love of God. This battle which rages is not only for your mortal life but your immortal soul. He wants to drag you into the pit of hell where you will remain forever.
It breaks my heart to think that there are many who merely exist in this world. They live in misery, in pain, in sorrow and in shame. They are wracked with addictions and enslaved by the bitter fruits of the flesh. They live never knowing how much they are loved only to die and enter a place that is utterly devoid of it.
Who will stand in the gap?
Who will tell the lost and dying that life and death are before them?
Who will tell them that they can choose life?
Jesus came so we may know life, not just a little life but life to the full.
Who will tell them the truth?
