My Hero Of All Time!
2 Words in 1
Our Times In Gethsemane!
Our times in Gethsemane is not only places of struggle and pain, but places of great anointing. We are as the olives pressed to release fresh oil.
They are not only places of darkness and despair, but places of new resurrection and life. It s a place where God anoints us, consecrates us, and renews our strength like that of the eagle.
One thing is for certain is the paths of our life at some point will lead us through Gethsemane and not around it.
We all will spend time in that garden driven to our knees by the struggle. We may even feel our prayers are dissipating in thin air and not being heard. Patience is like our motor idling while everything in us is ready to strip every gear.
So we walk into our Gethsemane times facing many fears, but know you are not facing them alone. You are accompanied by the King of Glory who spent time in the real Gethsemane, with a soul so overwhelmed as the cup was not taken from him as he had prayed.
Just know that on the other side of this, resurrection awaits!
My Hero Of All Time!
Undefeatable, eternal, supreme in every way. His name is Faithful and True. He holds all things together.
He is the cleft in the mountain where I am safely sheltered when hammered by storms. He healed the sick and resurrected the dead.
He opened the eyes of the blind to see for the very first time. Oh how their heart must have melted when they looked in his for the very first time.
The winds and waves obey him. The demons tremble in fear. He knows the very deepest part of my heart.
He has bottled each and every tear as he sat with me through the late midnight hours. His kingdom is everlasting and his oversight for my soul is eternal.
He paid the very ultimate price even when he did not have to. He saw something in me when I could not see it myself.
He loved me when I found myself in the fire. He loved me when I fell in the dark pit. He knew me before I was even born and even while in my mothers womb, he called me and chose me.
At the very sound of his voice, everything in me comes alive. He walked on the waves, he walked through hell and back, he rose up in victory. That dark night in the shadow of a cross, the devils had a party thinking he was gone.
This hero would not return! Oh but they stood in fear for three days later, that grave could not hold him.
Much like the woman that pressed through the crowd just to touch him, I press through not to just touch a King, but the King of King’s.
I press through not to just touch a Lord, but the LORD of Lords. The Only One who ever walked the face of this earth who was entitled to everything and expected nothing more than to reach his people who needed his love and grace.
To save them from themselves! He gave all he had, love and compassion that is so far beyond our comprehension.
In his hands is where I am! He laughs with me and wipes every tear. He assures me he has got it all under control when I feel like I don’t have a clue.
He is absolutely larger than life. A King that has captivated my heart and life. Every heartbeat beats his name. His DNA flows through me! My everything!
The LORD God who is, who was, and who is to come. The Almighty! My Hero of my heart and life! My Hero of all time!
