Father, my heart grieves for this nation!

You see me. You know my thoughts, my feelings and my heart. You know my inmost being. I am not afraid for I know that You hold the future (and me for that matter) in the palm of Your hand. The evil in this nation can last only for a seasons.

The attack on the courageous men and women who boldly stand for what is right can last only for a season. Heaven and earth will pass away. This world, its wicked rulers and systems will pass away. Yet how many perish today beneath the blindness of deception? How many go to their graves and their eternal destination never having known, neither having been set free by the truth?

The fickle desires of the wicked and the greedy have brought many to accept and even herald moral compromise. They march under a banner of “relative truth” and preach that there are no absolutes when it comes to right and wrong. “What’s right for me may not be right for you” or vice versa. They believe themselves fit to be their own moral compass and yet they travel in circles with no true sense of certainty.

Those that insist to the contrary and firmly hold their ground are seen as tyrants. They are declared enemies of “personal freedom.” Yet it is those who cry, “Do as thou wilt!” who drag behind them the heavy chains of bondage. Do these ever lie awake at night plagued by uncertainty? Do they ever find themselves overwhelmed by confusion and doubt?

“Land of the free and home of the brave…. Land of the free and home of the brave.”

The words echo before me as I consider how far this once mighty nation has fallen. The last vestiges of freedom are perhaps the only ones that were ever true in the first place. Namely, freedom in Jesus Christ. Otherwise this is the land of duct tape for those who dare to speak out against the evil agenda of the ruling elite.

It is the land of legal battlefields for those who stand for truth and righteousness or expose evil for what it is. It is slipping away… Freedom is the cherished ideal that is abundant as a concept but rare in this world.

Home of the brave? To be sure there are brave souls in this nation that battle against the flow of wickedness every day. Yet these are not heralded for their vigilance and unwavering position.

Rather, bravery is defined as a man who feels like a woman and decides to do something about it. It is defined one who defies God’s laws and the very laws of nature to pursue intimate same sex relationships. It is defined as one who insists, “It’s my body and my choice,” so that innocent unborn life never sees the light of day or draws their first breath.

To be sure the prophet Isaiah would speak these words over this nation, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil!”

In the face of this rushing tide many once brave men have forsaken truth. They have abandoned bravery in favor of cowardice in the hopes that they would not appear to be old fashioned, irrelevant or outdated. They join the muddled voices of the masses as they concede to the pressures of this world and its system.

Only for those who know that spiritual freedom is absolute does bravery become not just a choice, but a necessity. Being free in Christ means being free in a place that the enemy cannot even touch. This freedom is freedom from fear.

Those who are no longer hostages of fear are uncommonly BRAVE. It is this freedom and this bravery that are needed desperately in this hour.

To those who know they are free in Christ and made brave, this is your call to action. It is your opportunity to stand in the middle of this rushing tide and declare, “I will not be moved!”

It is your chance to hold high a light in dark places. It is your time to hold fast to truth even as it is under fierce attack by the evil forces of this world and its system.

Today is your day to ARISE!

This word is not just meant to be written. It is meant to be spoken. By the power of God that will come next. Yet I cannot keep this word shut up in my bones and so it must be shared.

NOW IT IS YOUR TURN.

Declare these words, “By the power of Christ I will NOT be moved!”

Then make a stand by sharing this in your own personal space and in all the places the LORD would lead you to!
