The Most Important Message the Apostle Paul Preached!
When we read the writings of the Great Apostle Paul, we are moved at his great work and success as an Apostle.
Paul traveled everywhere Preaching and Working to start Churches [local assemblies of Believers in many towns and cities].
The Beloved Paul greatly suffered many things. He suffered extreme Rejection, Persecution, hatred, and he was even stoned and left for Dead.
Paul escaped from the religionists and Rome at night and escaped over the wall in a large basket.
Paul suffered shipwreck and was cast upon a primitive land among heathen people.
Paul was Snake bit, but did not die, for his faith, and the last thing I will mention is, Paul was put in Prison for his faith and never went home. He died in prison for the cause of Jesus Christ.
If you had gone to hear him Preach, you would no doubt have been amazed at his Message. It was unique indeed.
With tears in his eyes, he would expound upon the Scriptures. He must have been very well spoken, and no doubt a most learned man.
The Apostle was schooled in all the Religion of the Jews, and was one who mastered the understanding of the law of Moses.
The Apostle was no wimp when it came to standing up for the Truth; he never backed down, and would eventually win in the end, having demonstrated the very Powerful Holy Spirit Anointing.
Some think that the Apostle must have had eye trouble, because in one place he suffered with eye problems.
Yet, I think you read that even the people who listened to him loved him so much that they would have gladly plucked out an eye and given it to him! A man greatly beloved by all who knew Jesus Christ.
Paul was one of the only Apostle that had the authority and wit of Scripture to stand up to the Apostle Peter, when Peter did treat the Jews differently then the Gentile Believers.
In the course of the discourse, the great Apostle stood tall in addressing the Jews seeking to bring the Gentile Believers into Bondage of the Law.
The Apostle Paul wrote some of the deepest of all Scriptures. He had a very in-depth understanding of the Word of God.
He could totally understand the difference between the Old Covenant and the New, and he did master the Hebrew Temple works and why they were worked. He fully understand that Salvation was BY FAITH in a message….
Yes the Great Apostle Paul stood tall in the knowledge of God, and never lacked information to preach.
The well never ran dry, for he was very constant in his preaching all of his life.
So what was the greatest message the Apostle Paul preached?
One does not have to read long to find it, for he cleared DECLARED IT as IF IT WERE … ALL HE KNEW.
Yet, we know the Apostle was very well versed.
The message was the simple gospel message of Jesus Christ.
He declared, “I know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
He even stated, He came not in his power, but WITH A MESSAGE!
Let us examine what He said of this Message:
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory,” 1 Corinthians 2:1-8.
Yes the message was simply… Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Armed with this message, THE APOSTLE TURNED THE WORLD AROUND! Thousands were saved. Many Churches started. He did a great work for God.
BUT THE GREAT APOSTLE WAS NOT GREAT in his OWN EYES, he was the worst of all sinners, and he stood before men in weakness and in fear, and in much Trembling.
SO WHAT WAS IT THAT MADE THE APOSTLE PAUL THE GREAT APOSTLE?
It was AND IS.. the GOSPEL MESSAGE.
Read this message and what it was all about here:
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: and that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: after that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed,” 1 Corinthians 15:1-11.
Oh, I wish before the Lord that ALL PREACHERS would preach as Paul.. that Glorious Gospel!
or if they did follow the footsteps of the Great Apostle, and then MUCH WOULD HAPPEN…. TOO!
Hear the Apostles Great Declaration and Words concerning himself:
“I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith,” Romans 1:14-17.
Again the apostle leaves behind the message: The Gospel of which he was not ashamed, because he knew that it worked the power of God unto salvation to all who would hear it!
