More than Conquerors!
“31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
33 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died — more than that, who was raised — who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord,” Romans 8:31-39.
We are faced with many troubles and problems in this life. We see distress and dangers all around us. There are be-headings, and constant fighting amongst others. There are wars and tumults and evil all around us, and yet, we are told that we are, “more than conquerors.”
Even when the mountains roll into the sea, “we are more than conquerors.”
When the earth erupts and cracks open, and many hearts are in fear, “we are more than conquerors.”
When we are persecuted for righteousness sake, and we are misunderstood and shunned, “we are more than conquerors.”
When we are faced with famine in the land, “we are more than conquerors.”
When high winds come to destroy our homes, or floods fill up all around us, “we are more than conquerors.”
When we lose our jobs and we don’t know what to do next, “we are more than conquerors.”
When the enemy comes to tempt us, we are more than conquerors.”
When we are concerned about the state of the world we live in, and we wonder what will happen, we can be assured that, “we are more than conquerors.”
There is absolutely nothing that can separate from the love of God that is found in his Son, Jesus. It doesn’t matter if it is a power. It doesn’t matter if it is distress, or fear, or any type of danger, nothing shall separate us from his love. There are no heights or depths, nor anything that is found anywhere in creation, that can separate us from him.
We can go to the deepest ocean, or to the farthest reaches of space, and yet, he is still there. Nothing is hidden from his eye. For if he considers the sparrow, then how much more important are we to him?
We are justified in him. It really doesn’t matter what others may say or think about us, it is He that has made us right in Him. Who is he that condemns? And so, why would we consider one that condemns, rather than he that justifies?
~ Stephen Hanson
Stephen Hanson of In His Truth Ministries came to the Lord is a special way in 1975 and has been prophesying regularly since. In these end-time birthing pangs we are to be reminded that judgment must first begin with the household of God. Will we be prepared and ready?
