Missing the Basics for Our Faith

Missing the Basics for Our Faith
Today I was thinking how it is possible that we are running for the deeper revelations and deeper understanding and missing the basics for our faith.
We need to be simple and practical.
Are you living in peace with all men?
Are you kind ?
Are you able to tell circumstances you have not exhibited the fruits of the Holy Spirit on daily life?
We Christians spiritualize things that need not to be spiritualized. We are just running from our christian responsibilities.
When we fail to help others we say that the spirit of God has not led us. What revelations do we need to help widows in the church? What special revelations do we need to love one another?
Do you need a deeper preacher in revelations to tell you sin is sin. Let us stop blackmails. Why are we pretending by wearing false maturity?
Bible Study
So yesterday I was having some discussion with one of bible students, scripture devouring and scripture loving servant of God. She was kind of surprised when I mentioned between King Saul and King David there was a king who ruled Israel.
Yes of course, we know that David was the next after Saul, yet a 2 year brief reign of another, Saul’s kin, is recorded in between Ishbosheth one of King Saul’s son ruled Israel (2 Samuel 2:10).
There shouldn’t be confusion though, as David is a king in the line of Judah. When His Judah tribesmen accepted him however, it took him time to get hold over the 10 tribes of Israel.
Ishbosheth simply utilised a leadership vacuum in Samaria.
“Ishbosheth, Saul’s son, was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. Only the house of Judah followed David,” 2 Samuel 2:10 (NKJV).
Are We ALL False?
All men and women of God can’t be false. God still has those whom He considers true at least in His view and so His approval can’t be changed by what men think of His servants or what they write about them.
Every time, every where, He will always have for himself reserves of men and women who have not bowed to idols.
I encourage all of us, if you are really called to walk in the calling God bestowed upon you, do the work, feed the sheep and prepare the bride of Jesus for His return.
But to be the police over the body of Christ – that one, leave it to God!
Did He not say His sheep knows His voice? Police and Watchman are two different roles……
Their heart is already in error, so what they see in others, is error. To them, everything they can’t be, or everything they can’t have, is error, when others have them.
They have subtle ways of opposing what they can’t be. Something is only right if it is spoken by so and so, but considered error when another is addressing the same.
Is this not jealousy? Is this not killer spirit?
Shalom,
