Miracles & Mistakes on My Way Back to KoЯn
Miracles and Mistakes on My Way Back to KoЯn
A Conversation with Brian “Head” Welch
Do you know anyone who struggles with addictions? Have you been wounded by parents … or been bullied or even suicidal? Hope and freedom are waiting for you!
My special guest in this week’s Spirit Connection podcast has lived all the above. Brian “Head” Welch, of the metal band KoЯn, was a successful rock star in the stranglehold of drug addiction until a radical encounter with God changed his life forever.
Brian still tours the world sharing his radical story and simple message: God will love you into the freedom of being yourself, as long as you keep the relationship going and never, ever quit.
Whether you’re feeling hopeless or are “living your dream” but still feel empty inside, you won’t want to miss hearing Brian’s story in this podcast!
In this episode, we talk about miracles, music and what to do when you keep messing up. Brian also answers these frequent questions and more:
- How intense was your struggle with drugs?
- Why did you quit the band?
- What was your wild encounter with God?
- Why did you finally rejoin KoЯn?
- How do your fans react to your Christianity?
- What about Christians who feel judged because of tattoos and piercings?
- How are you concerts different now that you know Jesus personally?

I wonder if you have the text of this podcast. My son loved Korn, and he has been an addict for more than 12 years. His girlfriend died of an overdose, and he is now in prison for vehicular manslaughter, having gotten high and crashed into another vehicle, killing one and injuring another. Since he can’t listen to a podcast, I would like to be able to send him the text of Brian Welch’s radical encounter with God.
